25.01.2022 Observational studies that can enhance patient care are a key focus of our CORe Unit. An example of this is recent work by Sam Harding-Forrester, that showed differences in the onset and initial prognosis for primary progressive and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) ultimately balance to create similar long-term disability outcomes as patients age. Understanding MS prognosis and the interaction between MS and aging may guide the use of available treatments and development of future prevention or repair strategies. Considering Sam is currently an MDRP student, we congratulate him on already having his work recognised at the recent MS Virtual 2020 meeting!
