23.01.2022 Melbourne is a 24 hour rock and roll city so it comes as no surprise that there is now a musicians vending machine. Stuck for a lead, plectrum, or drum sticks? No problems! The machine out the front of Clingan Guitar Tone is there to save the day and is accessible all hours.

22.01.2022 A raft of small independent businesses are under threat from non-necessary development as part of the new Metro CBD South station work. Today is the last day to voice your concerns online regarding the development. Campbell Arcade is a heritage site and a vital space for creative businesses within the city. Please take a moment to watch this small video and follow the link to have your voice heard.

20.01.2022 Take a rather chilled out ride on Melbourne's much loved City Circle Tram. The #35 continued to run its route during the COVID19 lock-down, patiently awaiting our return. Sit back with a cuppa and enjoy an almost passenger free journey around Melbourne.

15.01.2022 A great little documentary about the planning and construction of the National Gallery of Victoria - a remarkable building today, quite astounding 50 years ago.

15.01.2022 Looking West from the top of Bourke Street, corner of Spring, 1959

14.01.2022 On this day, 3 March in 1837, a new township was surveyed and named as Melbourne , in honour of Lord Melbourne. We are rather proud of how it turned out.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are seeing the first glimmers of the lifting of COVID19 restrictions in Melbourne, we are hopeful things will continue to move smoothly and will soon be able to start sharing Melbourne with visitors. Many of our institutions are offering unique behind the scenes views of whats been happening during the lockdown. Here we get a bit of a guided tour through the National Gallery of Victoria. I cant wait to get back into our amazing galleries, large and small. regards, Chris, Dave & Erica - Melbourne By Foot

12.01.2022 It was only a matter of time before someone added some personal touch to these drab bollards. More of this! http://www.abc.net.au//southern-cross-bollard-cove/8661234

12.01.2022 And hopefully, we can see you one day soon. Melbourne By Foot will be making changes to the way we share the city with guests. All tours will now be private, single party experiences. Our tours remain affordable and by running private tours exclusively we can give your group a unique experience catered to your interests and itinerary.... You can read more about these changes over on the old MelbsByFoot website - https://www.melbournebyfoot.com/blog/a-post-covid19-return/ Stay safe, until then.

11.01.2022 A 1960s photo of Flinders St station by Maggie Diaz Collection. Aside from the neon, not a whole lot has changed from this view.

09.01.2022 Why is Flinders Lane not called Little Flinders St? http://www.abc.net.au//why-is-flinders-lane-not-l/9712006

09.01.2022 Some classic Melburnian responses to being confronted with potential art. Bonus points for recognising the reason the comment "its not even yellow" got us rolling on the floor in the Melbo By Foot office.

09.01.2022 Nice photo of our cultural walking tour starting point, from the 1960s. You can see the trench which for decades effectively cut off Melbourne from the Yarra, and the Gas and Fuel towers along Flinders Street, all demolished to build Federation Square. Fed Square isnt perfect, but it played a major part in transforming Melbourne.

06.01.2022 Take a look around 1916 Melbourne View of the corner of Elizabeth and Collins Streets

03.01.2022 A familiar view for our Cultural Walk guests showing how the city has grown around some of its major landmarks. Looking west towards the Princes Bridge - Both blended photos taken from the normal stop for our Settlement of Melbourne talk at the start of each tour.

03.01.2022 An unusual view of a building we discuss on our Cultural Walk, city living has certainly evolved.
