10.01.2022 Join us this Thursday, for our virtual darkroom exhibition to be opened by the uber creative Melbourne photographer @zo_damage Posted @withregram @mcc_darkroom Thank you to Zo Damage for accepting our invite to open our 20th Analogue Photography Exhibition, ‘A COVID Compromise’. We look forward to your talk. #Repost @zo_damage with @withregram LONG POST ALERT Tell ya a secret. ... When I finished my 365-day project and the dust had settled from all the exhibitions and Damage Report launch and stuff, I was overwhelmed by a complete sense of inadequacy, and subsequently a prolonged period of depression. What could I do after that epic adventure? How could I create? It was doubly impacted as I truly love the underground and emerging live music scene and community, and felt this sense of inadequacy was a sort of betrayal, as nothing I was photographing connected with me. This led to my deep dive into film photography. I have not spoken of this publicly before, and am very excited (and nervous) to have been invited to share my analogue journey with you as guest speaker for the opening of the @melbourne_camera_club "Analogue Photography Group" exhibition. It is the 20th anniversary of the APG group show and I am very humbled to have to opportunity to open the event. You are of course invited. It's on Thursday 12 November 2020 at 8pm. Keep an eye out here and on the Melbourne Camera Club socials for links to Zoom (members) and the live YouTube stream (scary) for non-members.
