05.01.2022 Hi and what a glorious gay morning we are having, I might just get up and put my Gay agenda on, walk out into the world and take over the planet. We need to be clear about marriage. Marriage is a civil contract between two consenting adults. The marriage certificate you sign is a legally binding contract. That is why divorce is done in a court of law before a judge, not in a church. The religious bit is just top dressing, for those that want a religious element to their cer...emony. So, marriage is a civil right. Therefore, it must be available to all members of society. If religions dont approve or allow couples of the same sex to marry on their premises then thats fine - no one is going to force them. But, equally, religions should not be able to deny couples, of different faiths or of none, their right to marry the person they love. That is illogical and unjust. Civil rights for minority people should never exist at the whim of the majority. Civil rights should apply equally to every citizen - that is the mark of a just and equitable and civilised society. So, come on Australia - its time to grow up and give all the citizens of your beautiful country the same rights to fulfil their dreams and aspirations and hopes.
