25.01.2022 Melbourne City Churches In Action (MCCIA) supports the call for justice for refugees.

24.01.2022 Scots Church BIG HYMN SING - online event only Via YouTube; Sunday, June 21 2020, 2 PM AEST. For hundreds of years people have gathered to sing rousing, inspirational hymns. At The Scots' Church each year for some time now we have featured BIG HYMN SING. The choir, organ, 5 brass players and timpani and of course lots of people in the church make a glorious sound. It is both inspirational and fantastic fun.... This time we will have the remarkable RIEGER organ played by Dr Robin Batterham AO, Oliver Crofts playing the clarinet and the 10 Scots' Choir Principals, all properly distanced of course. People will remember the tune Aberystwyth from THE CROWN. Vaughan McAlley has written a setting of this beautiful hymn for Choir, clarinet and organ.

21.01.2022 Given the current public health concerns the Palm Sunday Walk will not go ahead. Palm Sunday is traditionally a time to call for justice and peace this is a call for Justice for Refugees and people seeking our protection. As our community grapples with the health, safety and economic crisis of the coronavirus pandemic we must not forget that refugees and people seeking asylum here in Australia, and those held offshore, are still struggling with the injustices, insecurity and cruelty of the current polices. This is a time for us to speak up for justice, and for a safer future for all especially those who are most vulnerable in our communities.
