18.01.2022 As we enter Week 4 of LD, more working from home means stiffer upper backs!! So here’s a great exercise from our Osteo/Pilates specialist Clair that will help! Book openings - a great exercise for stretching out your mid-back (an area alot of us are quite stiff in at the moment, with more time being spent sitting on the couch, or in makeshift home office set-ups). Perform 10-15x slowly each side. The more you do the better you feel! Call us if you need any help or advice, we... are still here for you! https://cityosteopathy.com.au/
18.01.2022 A warm up is often the most often neglected but vital component of any workout Taking 10 minutes before a run to activate key muscles and mobilise the joints under load during a run makes a huge difference both to performance and injury prevention Combine this sequence before your run and foam rolling/ stretch routine after to perform at your best consistently without injury niggles getting in your way Being proactive with self management and getting to your osteo ASAP if something starts to niggle is the best strategy to help achieve your movement goals

17.01.2022 At City Osteopathy, we understand that it is important to be aware of what we are dealing with in relation to the COVID-19 virus, that is why our osteopaths have undertaken CPD in relation to virus and how best to deal with it. Along with the implementation of our own hygiene and health action plan in relation to the guidelines set by the Australian government, we are aiming to keep our workplace as safe as we can for both our patients, and our staff. We encourage you to continue to have some exercise, some laughter and some fun. After all, that will help us all to stay healthier in the end!

14.01.2022 Exercise + Social Distancing - Dr Matthew. (Sound ) It is really important that during times like this, we are exercising and not stuck indoors for too long. This gets the body moving! It does not mean spending hours and hours outside, it is more about getting the recommended hour of exercise a day and doing it with a friend while maintaining social/physical distancing.... Movement is key! Gaining inspiration from Dr Clairs puppy post, this video was taken during Dr Matts daily exercise routine in slow-mo! See more

Dr Rohan was able to this weekend, trying to master some full body weighted exercises at his home gym! You never know what growth can occur once you put your mind to it, both physically and mentally! Stay safe this weekend!
01.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder again: Still open for urgent care The guidelines state that we can only provide urgent treatment in cases where the absence of or delay in treatment would result in a deterioration of your condition or functional independence that would then require you to seek further care or an emergency hospital visit. ... We unfortunately are not permitted to provide routine/maintenance treatments during these the remaining weeks of stage 4. The idea is that we are limiting movement through the community, while also being there for urgent care when need. Should you need an appointment within the next 4 weeks then please contact the clinic phone or your favourite practitioner via email. Stay safe See more
