23.01.2022 How heavy is heavy? Women who soak through a pad or a tampon every 1-3 hours, have bleeding for more than 7 days, need to use double protection (both pads and tampons together), need to change pads or tampons at night, flood at night, pass clots or those with iron deficiency anemia can all be objectively said to have excessively heavy periods. https://www.mfec.com.au/clinical-problems-in/heavy-periods/
22.01.2022 What actually is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)? It is a condition associated with irregular menstrual cycles as ovulation often fails to occur regularly. Short menstrual cycles (less than 27 days) with prolonged flow (more than 8 days). 4. Partial or complete obstruction of normal menstrual flow, e.g., from uterine abnormalities such as a tight cervix, vaginal septum or uterine fibroids.... 5. White or Asian race. https://www.mfec.com.au/clinical-problems-in/endometriosis/ See more

17.01.2022 Endometrial polyps are common. Many cause no symptoms. Their prevalence is between 7.8 and 35% depending on the type of patient studied. Risk factors for the development of polyps include advancing age, high blood pressure, obesity and use of tamoxifen (a medication used after treatment of breast cancer). The incidence is greatest in women between 40 and 50 years of age. http://www.mfec.com.au/clinical-problem/endometrial-polyps/
