24.01.2022 8 VJ Nav What is your favourite paddling memory? There are so many, though one particular memory would be winning gold in the 2km mixed 10s at the 2018 AusChamps.... What do you like most about dragonboating? Being able to rub shoulders with like-minded, hungry dragon boaters all around the world. During your time with Flames, what are you most proud of? Being surrounded by people who are willing to help me to grow both on and off the water. What has been the most challenging aspect of dragonboating for you? Balancing training along with my work and other personal commitments. How has paddling helped you or changed your perspective? Paddling and being part of a competitive club certainly lifted my physical fitness. The sport has also helped me to get out of my comfort zone and be more social with fellow paddlers everywhere.

24.01.2022 7 Rebecca Chau What is your favourite paddling memory? Any 2km event. The sheer amount of determination and teamwork is unrealeven when we capsized in training with Serge on the back...... What do you like most about dragonboating? Dragonboating takes you around the world. I have had the opportunity to compete around Australia, China and Thailand so far. During your time with flames, what are you most proud of? Stepping out of my comfort zone and helping with our Come and Try paddlers. What has been the most challenging aspect of dragonboating for you? Trying to balance it with other aspects of my life. During the Thailand campaign, Docklands was pretty much my home! How has paddling helped you or changed your perspective? As long as I keep paddling, I can eat as much as I want.
