There are heaps of great coffee places and restaurants in Acland Street and Fitzroy Street. You can easily spent weeks trying to get through all of them. One must-try is a piece of cake in one of Acland Streets famous cake shops. The hardest thing will be to pick just one piece. We enjoyed being right in the middle of the St. Kilda buzz, a short distance walk from the beach, shops, restaurants, bars and the tram into town. Having internet access, a TV and VCR, the place felt like home to us and both our kids. Thanks to our hosts- we will come back!"
