Unpack your Privilege is a supportive, practical online space which explores intersectionality, introspection, and the choices, experiences and values that make up who you are. ... A small number of workshops are offered; each of 3-4 hours duration. Each of Lauras workshops will be capped at 12 members. Being a part of MidSoc is an amazing opportunity to provide peer support to your fellow students, work closely with the faculty to deliver CPD events, fundraise for midwifery-related causes, and organise events that are both educational and social. ......................................................................... HOW TO APPLY: Nominations are placed via email ([email protected]). One student nominator needs to sign and send this email nomination, and include both the seconder and the nominee in the email. (Basically, the nominator, seconder and nominee for the position need to be CCd in on the one email). Nominators, seconders and nominees must be current financial MidSoc members. Position description below! ...................................................................... EVENTS & FUNDRAISING COORDINATORS 34 hours per week *Two roles* Were looking for two organised and tenacious individuals who are passionate about event management. These two people must be proactive with preparing required documentation well in advance of events, and following up room and equipment booking confirmations with ACU. Can preferably attend most events, but if unavailable it is their responsibility to ensure at least one Executive Committee member can be present. These roles also include fundraising for the ACU Melbourne Midwifery Society and the charitable organisations we support, including the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia. Duties: Prepare event documentation (brief, checklist, risk assessment) Manage room booking/equipment requests Ensure at least one Executive Committee member can be present at all events Will liaise with organisations the ACU Midwifery Society supports Search and apply for monetary grants available to the society Primary organisers/coordinators of donated items Administrators of raffles and silent auctions Coordinators of the Birthing Kit Assembly night Nominations for these two positions close on Monday 21st September.
