25.01.2022 Hi All, crazy times. Upon suggestion to do a couple of online XC seminars in 3-4 hr sessions, (to get through the restriction period and not completely get out of touch with paragliding) I'm putting a 2 min survey out for anyone interested to fill in. Click on the link below and have a look at the proposed topics. It'll let me know which of those would interest you. Each session will be somewhere in the $50 ball park but if you're experiencing a financial hardship due to the lockdown I'll offer the "Flykeeper" program. (No, you won't get paid to listen to my boring voice but at least it won't cost you $) Cheers, Airie https://s.surveyplanet.com/kynuqKmZN

24.01.2022 With restrictions easing we're up and flying again. Looking forward to actually seeing people smiling again. Regardless of that, it's a nice feeling knowing that the smile is there. #Flowparagliders #Panorama

23.01.2022 Getting ready for the next season? Is your reserve parachute repacked? It is our last option. If you ever need it you want it to come out fast and clean. https://www.melbourneparagliding.com/reserve-repack.html

22.01.2022 Cairns Bay on the Mornington Peninsula is one of our favourite coastal sites around Melbourne. A stunning coastline becomes even more stunning when flying above it. A perfect spot for tandem flights. <3

21.01.2022 Looks like Melbourne metro restrictions will ease end of September flying will be possible again for those with a flying site within 5km from home. Here's a short check list before heading up in the air: 1. SAFA membership current 2. Equipment airworthy: - wing: visual and manual inspection of the canopy, lines, and risers... - harness: visual and manual inspection of stitching, straps, buckles (open and close with ease), reserve flaps and reserve handle, carabiners (open with ease, gates lock properly) - reserve: repack is current - helmet - accessories: radio and instruments charged 3. Currency: We'll all be a bit rusty. A ground handling session before going flying is a great idea. Check flight needed? PG2/3 pilots need one if they haven't flown for 90 days. If your confidence is low might want to do a refresher with an instructor to ease back into flying with qualified support in a relaxed manner. See you on the hill soon. :) See more

15.01.2022 Light wind and cross from the N at Mt. Dandenong today. Thermal cycles coming through on launch were light, short and most of the time pretty cross. Timing was everything. Once in the air it was beautiful flying, up to 4300ft today. Thanks for the video Ethan Glessich.
