20.01.2022 The committee have worked very hard to bring you a safe and responsible camp this weekend, and this document is only further proof of this! Attached is a link t...o the COVID19 event plan, detailing how the committee will be keeping everyone safe over the weekend - there is a lot of details and it is not an expectation that people read this, we are just posting this here to provide open communication to those who do want to read - a recap of attendee covid expectations is on the unit information booklet (which we hope people do actually read) As always, our office HQ is open 24/7 throughout the weekend so please come in and say hello and let us know if you have any questions about this (or anything) over the duration of camp - we are always happy to help! Gates open 4.30pm this Friday! Virtual document - https://drive.google.com//1h2Kek0FsovUNbOpbHxDNephvg/view

10.01.2022 Today the World Organisation of the Scouts Movement has officially announced the postponement of the 16th World Scout Moot until July 2022. Although a tough dec...ision to make, it has been made to prioritise the health and wellbeing of all attendees. The Contingent Management Team is aware that information of this decision has already been released. Please understand that we have been working with WOSM, and the Moot Organising Committee to ensure we can provide you with the most accurate, up to date information. We would like to extend our apologies for any confusion caused. We understand this news may seem disappointing. However, we'd like to reassure you that this postponement now gives us more time to save, prepare, look forward to the event, and most importantly; determine the viability of an Australian contingent to travel overseas to Ireland. We will continue to prioritise the welfare and safety of our Contingent members. As such, planning is currently on hold. Contingent registrations WILL NOT be opening on June 1st. We appreciate that there will be many questions arising from this news, but our team has received limited information from WOSM and the Ireland Management Team. As you can reasonably understand, logistics and details are still being confirmed. The most current and reliable information can be found here: https://www.worldscoutmoot.ie/covid-19-faqs/ After reading the FAQs, if you have further questions, please comment them and we will address them as we receive the information. Thank you for your understanding while we sort through the logistics. Please keep following the page for more updates. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the team at The Official 16th World Scout Moot Ireland, for their hard work and determination thus far. This was certainly not an easy decision to make, but it has been the best possible decision in light of these difficult times. We hope that just like us, you're looking forward to a bigger, better and brighter World Scout Moot in 2022. Now is certainly a time to demonstrate the resilience which Scouting has provided to us all. "Sunshine always follows the rain." - Irish proverb.
