MED-E-SIM (Master Entry) is a not for profit educational experience facilitated by the faculty of Clinical Simulation Education at Melbourne Health. This is an educational program specifically developed for tertiary science students interested in pursuing a career in medicine/health. Pilot Program ran on 26th July. 10.01.2022 MED-E-SIM (Master Entry) is a not for profit educational experience facilitated by the faculty of Clinical Simulation Education at Melbourne Health. This is an educational program specifically developed for tertiary science students interested in pursuing a career in medicine/health. Participants tour restricted parts of the hospital and are also involved in simulated clinical exercises, procedure workshops and masterclass plenary.

10.01.2022 Our next intake for the Fundamentals of ECG Interpretation and Management course will be 5th May to 9th June 2021 (every Wednesday), 10am to 12pm. The course is fully delivered in the online interactive format. This is a 6 weeks comprehensive ECG interpretation and arrhythmia management short course designed for clinicians (medical and nursing) who require knowledge and skills to interpret a normal 12-lead electrocardiogram, to recognise deviations from normal and to implement appropriate management. The program will be delivered fully online over 6 weeks of 2hrs session (60mins lecture and 60mins tutorial). 04.01.2022 Advanced Clinical Decision Making Have you ever found yourself asking the question How do I manage the ward if multiple crises are occurring? What are some... strategies to employ to prevent a deteriorating patient advancing to MET call? Who do I speak to if I am concerned about receiving a particular patient? How do I know if I should call the on-call consultant in the middle of the night? How do I know how to allocate staff members? Who do I need to contact if I make the decision to use mechanical restraints on an agitated patient? When should I use HFNP instead of ordinary NP to deliver 02? This course is designed for junior medical staff and nursing staff who wish to learn more about clinical decision making and leadership. Whether you are an intern or resident who will soon be the sole medical staff member on night shift at Royal Park Campus, or a nurse working towards CNS, ANUM or In Charge this course aims to enhance your decision-making skills in both clinical and non-clinical situations. You will then apply these skills in a range of interactive learning modes.
