19.01.2022 @angi3christina has made some solid gains since starting coaching with @didiervassou Here she is slamming 90kg x 6 at 51kg BW! - I'd been training at a gym for about two years before I signed up with Melbourne Strength Culture in August 2020, to be coached by Didier in powerlifting. - I already knew a little about MSC as their in-house physio, Dan, had rehabbed me through some injuries. I was so impressed with the attention to detail and passion I saw from everyone at MSC th...at I finally bit the bullet and signed up for online coaching. - Working with Didier has been the biggest positive change for my technique across the big three lifts over such a short period of time, and I can't wait to see what that means for my strength gains when we do my first comp Not only has my training improved shitloads, but nutrition coaching has given me the knowledge and tools to change my eating habits for the better, in what feels like a really sustainable way. - Everyone I've dealt with at Melbourne Strength Culture has been really passionate, knowledgeable and inclusive, and it's been a pleasure being a part of that. My only regret is not joining sooner - If you want to take your training to the next level, get in contact today! - #strengthculture #huntprogression See more
17.01.2022 A massive congratulations to Mr Culture @andykroussoratsky for this incredible transformation. - Andy has lost over 25kg (and counting) over the past 2 years. 127kg+ > 102kg... He had to get his suit altered - a good problem to have Andy is a testament to consistent effort over time. He didn’t want the quick fix or easy shortcut. He put his head down, followed instructions and got it done. We added layers to his nutrition protocol over time as necessary - starting with the lowest hanging fruit and worked upwards. Truly inspirational stuff - #strengthculture #huntprogression
14.01.2022 Here’s @brendonmainey slamming 170kg x 6 - You will struggle to find someone who loves powerlifting more than Brendon. - The Panther has been with us for 2 years, and has made some big improvements on his lifts.... - He is a great lifter to coach - he takes on critique well and always wants to know how he can be better. - Coach: @didiervassou See more
13.01.2022 Chris has been making INSANE progress under the guidance of his coach Charlie. Here's what he has to say about his experience training at Strength Culture. (300kg deadlift shown) --- I first signed up with Charlie, from Melbourne Strength Culture in order to expand my own training knowledge as both an aspiring coach and athlete.... My favourite aspect of training under Strength Culture, is the autonomy that coaches instil within their clients, through the practise of self-reflection, the use of RPE in load selection, and the collaboration between coaches and athletes in developing effective and enjoyable training. One of my initial training goals when I first started coaching under Charlie, was to break the U69 Open Deadlift Record of 283kg. I have since pulled more than this for multiple repetitions in training. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I haven't been able to complete this in competition. However, this record is sure to be destroyed in the upcoming months. I have also overcome my chronic and progressive back pain that affected my training for almost a year. This was done with the guidance of Dan Godeassi (the in-house physio), as well as program manipulation, and moral support provided by Charlie as well as the other coaches and members at the gym. My favourite thing about training at the Strength Culture gym is a friendly and inviting environment offered by the community they have established. The equipment is of very high quality, and the gym floor is always kept pristine. Since joining Strength Culture, I have not only developed my knowledge base, but also my maturity as an athlete. I have learnt to understand, respect, and enjoy the training process. Very excited to see what I will be able to achieve in the future! --- Looking to progress in the gym, but are held back by persisting injuries? 02.01.2022 Here’s @ben_neo putting away 210kg trap bar deadlifts. --- Ben came to @jamiebouz to get ready for a Half Ironman and to get strong in the meantime. Technique has been a priority for us over the past couple of blocks and now we’re starting to see some big strength gains with more efficient movement. --- I've been with Jamie for 18 weeks now, his training methods have not only improved my big 3 lifts but have also given me a deeper insight into my training. ... Shoulder pain which came with my benching has now disappeared and I'm on track to not only smash PB's but also complete an Ironman at the end of the year. --- Got a big event to prepare for? 01.01.2022 Cam has been killing it through lockdown under his coach Jamie Bouziotis. Here’s what he has to say about his experience with Melbourne Strength Culture. (170kg x 5 low bar squat shown) --- I started with Jamie Bouziotis from Melbourne Strength Culture with the main goal of improving my performance in the squat, bench and deadlift. Jamie has also helped me with a shoulder niggle that consistently prevented me from barbell benching for 5 years. Under Jamie’s guidance, I’ve sma...shed my strength goals, my shoulder is 100% pain-free and my lifts are more technically sound. My favourite part of being a member of Strength Culture is the lengths the coaches go to in order to assist and educate clients. I have learned more since being a member of Melbourne Strength Culture than I have through my Exercise Science degree. --- Do you want to take the next step in your training?
