25.01.2022 MUTC is starting to kick off and coming alive again. With the weather starting to heat up, perfect timing to pick up your tennis racquet and restart your tennis training. We are excited to announce MUTC are back and taking casual court hire again! ... On top of that, our coaching provider University Tennis Academy are running all there lessons back at uni, both group sessions and private lessons! Jump in while spots are still open. 05.01.2022 Pac6 Inter-varsity National Tennis Competition The University of Melbourne has a rich history of success in Intervarsity Tennis dating back over 100 years and was National Champions as recently as 2018 and runner’s up in 2019! The Pac-6 competition is UniSport Australia’s newest intervarsity competition and involves some of Australia’s biggest and best Universities playing each other as part of a home-and-away fixture, culminating in a final round in Brisbane, during 4-weeke...nds in March. This is an exciting opportunity for selected student-athletes to be at the forefront of a new frontier in intervarsity sport in this US-college style program. We are hosting our trials in the upcoming weeks to select the 2021 team. All trials will be held at Melbourne University and will be mandatory. You only need to attend 1 trial and confirm your attendance by the Expression of Interest (EOI) closure date below. Full commitment to the program is mandatory. Competition Dates: 6-28 March 2021 Level: Equivalent to Grade 3 Pennant or higher and/or Australian National Ranking of 300 and lower and/or UTR of +6 for females & +8 for males. Below are the details: - Tuesday, 2nd March 2021... 22:45 pm: General Half-Court Rally to warm up 2:45-4 pm: 2 Courts free for all 1 Court for Mini Games (King of the court, doubles, others) 1 Court training/coaching for newer players 4-6 pm: 3 Courts free for all 1 Court for Mini Games (will be flexible depending on what people want) - Friday, 5th March 2021 22:45 pm: General Half-Court Rally to warm up 2:45-4 pm: 2 Courts free for all 1 Court for Mini Games (King of the court, doubles, others) 1 Court training/coaching for newer players 4 pm: Barbeque break! 46 pm: 3 Courts free for all 1 Court for Mini Games (will be flexible depending on what people want) Everyone must perform general covid-19 protocols to enforce health and safety measures. This includes bringing your mask and practicing social distancing by keeping a distance of 1.5m. We will also provide hand sanitizers, but you are encouraged to bring your own.
