22.01.2022 2019 Highlight Rewind ICYMI, The University of Melbourne had a big win the Big Blue over our rivals Monash University! Melbourne won the 2019 overall title 11-3 (1 draw) - it was the biggest win by either University in Big Blue/Varsity Challenge history, and also only the second time since 2014 that Melbourne has won the crystal, having previously held it in 2016.... In 2019 our Men's team's won 5 titles (Basketball, Football, Hockey, Badminton and Table Tennis) while our Women won 6 (Basketball, Football, Australian Rules, Badminton, Netball and Table Tennis). Monash won T20 Cricket (Men), Mixed Touch and Mixed Ultimate. Check out the pics of some of our winning teams! Historically it's close since inception with results since 2014 giving Melbourne a 42 - 40 lead (1 draw) across all matches. That's despite being down on the annual tally 3 - 2 (with 1 tie in 2015 where Monash held the trophy as carry-over). In 2020 the Big Blue rivalry between the South's two biggest institutions will be renewed. Dates will be confirmed shortly. Interested in representing the University? Complete the EOI here or look out for information posted for trials in the coming weeks. https://melbourneuniversitysport.formstack.com//intervarsi
