27.01.2022 Congrat’s to all the MVC athletes who competed at todays Metro South All Juniors. Some were competing for the first time and others were pushing themselves well into the top 10. Good luck to everyone who finished top 10 and will go on to represent Metro South at All Juniors! Thanks to Metro South committee for running a great meet and to all the volunteers on the day. @melbournesportscentres ... @metrosouthswimming #melbournevicentre See more
22.01.2022 After 5 days of intense racing during last weeks 2020 Vic Age LC Championships, MVC's 26 individual competitors & 12 relays teams finished 4th in the combined team rankings. Although we celebrate all of our athletes efforts, special mentions go to Ivy Li who was awarded the female 13 year old Age Group Champion, and Nick Stoupas who broke 2 Victorian records in the boys 12 year old 100m & 200m breaststroke. Thanks to all our volunteers during the week, we could not compete without you! Whether you were cheering in the stands, competing for the first time at a championship event, making PB's or standing on the podium. MVC wishes everyone a merry Xmas and a restful New Year. See you in 2020! #melbournevicentre

15.01.2022 Community sport mattered yesterday, it matters today, and it will matter even more when the pandemic is over. #StickWithYourSport if you can. Supporting your club now will help make sure it is still there when we can get back on the blocks!
14.01.2022 Today we said goodbye to our visiting Itoman team, they had a fantastic last day out in Melbourne! The club would like to thank again the Dressel-de Bruyn, Le Grand, Shaw & Larke families for opening their homes and kindly hosting. #melbournevicentre
14.01.2022 In what was a hot weekend at Vic Metro Champ’s, many of our athletes turned their cool to the pool! There were too many PB’s and top10 finishes to mention, but our younger squad members are really starting to show us what they can do! Finished off with a volley of relays which is always so much fun! As always, a huge thanks to our wider team including timekeepers, parents, coaches and photographers, we couldn’t do it without you @melbournesportscentres ... #melbournevicentre See more

09.01.2022 This weekend our visiting Itoman sister club from Japan arrived for the 2020 Vic Age Championships, look out for them racing in the 12years age group. We sincerely thank all our host families for looking after them, and of course Mack for the fantastic photo opportunity.
05.01.2022 Friday was hot and the relays even hotter at the 2020 Vic Age Champs! There has been some fantastic MVC swims all week, but for both of our 12-13 girls & boys medley relay teams to share the 1st place podium position with our Itoman sister club from Japan was hard to beat! #melbournevicentre

15.10.2021 We caught up with Mack during quarantine, just before hitting the ground in Qld. The club would like to thank this Champion for everything he has done for MVC and the wider swimming community. We wish you all the best with the next phase! Melbourne Vicentre and MSAC has been my swimming home for more than 15 years. The club and the program are all I have known and loved. I joined the club aged 10 and two years later started with Craig Jackson shortly after he moved to Austra...lia. Craig and the Melbourne Vicentre community has supported me to 2x Commonwealth Games, 3x World Championships, 2x Olympics and Olympic Gold. Change is never an easy decision, but the time has come to try something new. I’m determined to not to finish my time swimming wondering ‘what if?’. I’m forever grateful to Melbourne Vicentre for the support, the memories and the experiences that have come my way. While I have enjoyed many experiences, the ones that mean the very most have always been those around the club. The privilege of being able to turn up to training each morning and push my body to the limit with a group of remarkable people willing to do the same will always remain the most special aspect of my time at MVC. Thank you to everyone from Melbourne Vicentre past and present for being a part of my journey. I may no longer wear a Vicentre cap, but I will always be a proud and grateful Melbourne ‘Vicentrarian’. #mvc #melbournevicentre #mackhorton
