Cut zucchini lengthwise into thin strips (a mandolin or vegetable peeler works well for this) and season with salt and pepper. Slice the mozzarella into thick slices. Cook the zucchini strips briefly in a pan until soft and pliable. Then wrap the mozzarella in the zucchini strips and cook for a few minutes on each side until the zucchini turn slightly brown. Enjoy! Tips: This dish also tastes great with other proteins such as chicken or beef. 22.01.2022 What to do about skin problems? What you eat and drink has a great influence on skin health. Skin problems such as acne, psoriasis and eczema can be caused... by poor eating habits. However, even small diet changes can help. Skin diseases often result from internal illnesses and nutritional metabolic disorders. For instance, research has found that acne occurs in primitive tribes only when they gave up their traditional diet. Before that the tribe members had no skin problems. Evidence also suggests that acne can be aggravated by dairy due to the growth hormones found in dairy products like milk. Milk in particular is a real hormone cocktail and contains precursor molecules of testosterone a male sex hormone significantly involved in the development of acne. Milk also contains insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1), which is similar to insulin and also stimulates testosterone production. When it comes to your diet, be patient and consistent. Whether the change is due to an illness or cosmetic concern, your skin wont improve overnight. That being said, if you stick with it, it will be worth the investment. What should you know about alkaline baths? A bath with alkalinizing ingredients gently opens the pores of your skin. It also supports the natural function of your skin in eliminating acids and toxins. Alkaline baths are suitable for all skin types and are particularly recommended for very dry and cracked skin. They also help with skin problems, such as neurodermatitis and psoriasis. Important detail: Your alkaline bath should have a pH value of more than 8. Your blood, on the other hand, has a pH value of 7.4. The higher pH value in the bath water causes osmotic pressure to occur and if you bathe longer than 30 minutes in an alkaline solution that has a pH value of more than 8, you will then excrete acids from your skin pores.

08.01.2022 Summer (Rye) Bread Spread Today we have a delicious spread for the summer season that is packed full of flavor! Ingredients:... 1 serving of seeds (sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.) 1 serving of strawberries 1 serving of avocado 1 serving of rye bread Preparation: Roast the seed mixture in a dry pan until you smell a nutty aroma and then remove from the heat to cool down. Remove the pit and pulp of the avocado and cut the pulp into small cubes. Puree the strawberries with the avocado and a third of the toasted seeds (add a little bit of water for easier blending). Place the spread on toasted rye bread and sprinkle with the remaining seeds. Eat a few of the seeds first, then enjoy the bread and spread! 06.01.2022 We are often asked: Should I monitor my progress by taking my body measurements or is weighing better? Successful weight loss is so often better shown by t...he monitoring of body measurements than by regular weighing! This is due to the relatively high protein content in our nutrition plans where connective tissue and muscles are rebuilt in the body. Muscle weighs more than fat, but also has less volume, i. e. it takes up less space than fat. So if 10 kg fat was lost and 6 kg muscle gained, only 4 kg difference may be seen on the scale. But if we look at body measurements, we often see reductions of 10-15 cm which is 1-2 dress sizes! Learning to let go of the emotions around a number on the scales is so important for long term health and happiness. Its all about health and feeling good in your body - thats the key goal! 05.01.2022 Have you all heard about Vitamin K? What’s Vitamin K you ask? Good question! The K stands for ‘koagulation’, which is the Danish spelling for ‘coagulation’. Vitamin K is the vitamin that helps the blood to clot or coagulate. That is just the tip of the iceberg of what this amazing, underappreciated vitamin does for our bodies. It is one of the four fat-soluble vitamins: Vitamins A, D, E & K.... Besides helping with the clotting of our blood, vitamin K also helps with transporting the calcium in our blood to our bones and teeth. It helps reduce the prevalence of fractures in our bones and cavities in our teeth. Additionally, having to much calcium in our blood can lead to kidney issues and hardened arteries, so it helps prevent those issue too. As if that weren’t enough, it is also critical for creating insulin and keeping our cells sensitive to it, ensuring that our blood sugar levels remain stable throughout the day. There are two types of Vitamin K K1 which is found in plants and K2 which is found in animal products and fermented plants. So what foods can you enjoy to boost your intake of Vitamin K. Dark leafy green (aren’t these always amazing?!), broccoli and asparagus are all sources of Vitamin K. If you want to get more K2 in your diet, you’re looking at egg yolks, cheese meat and fermented foods such as sauerkraut. I hope you now feel in the know about this amazing (but not so well known) vitamin!
