25.01.2022 Hey folks! Do you have a competitive itch you’re dying to scratch? Are you keen to shred the gnar of Mount Buller? Do you wanna show off some sick carving skills?!?! Then come join MUST at this year’s VIC IVs over on Buller mountain!!... Whether you’re a jerry or a pro, the uni games trip is a great opportunity to get in on some competitive fun; speeding down the slopes by day and partying hard by night. Running from the 28th of July to the 1st of August, this entry-level racing trip will let you get loose with a bunch of other uni students whilst flashing some moves on the slopes. THE NITTY-GRITTY DEETS: BASE PACKAGE: At $880 per person, the VIC IVs trip package includes 4 nights of accomodation, social events, 3 days of lift passes & two races (excluding food, alcohol, hire and transport!). 13.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Dear members, Following guidance from the University and health authorities, MU Sport has advised us to suspend all club activities on and off campus until further notice. Unfortunately this means all our BBQs and pub nights will have to be canceled and our trip sales evening which is often held in early April will have to be postponed until further notice. ... Obviously this is very upsetting as we have only really just kicked off the year however, we have a responsibility to our members as well as the people in the greater community to do our bit to keep everyone safe and healthy. Whilst this is upsetting for all of us at MUST we have been in discussions with MU sport and are still expecting to run all our trips as normal unless posted otherwise which is great news. Ultimately this is an ever evolving situation and there is no real time frame to how long these restrictions will last however we will strive to keep you all updated and get the club back up and running as normal and you on snow and stoked as soon as possible. Importantly, we have also been requested by MU Sport to report any cases of COVID-19 to them immediately so if you or someone you know have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and have attended any club events within the last 2 weeks please let us know ASAP. If you look back the memories you made with MUST this year and think damn, Id like a bit more of that action then you should consider joining the MUST committee. From my own experience I can say that joining the MUST Committee has been one of the most fun and rewarding experiences I have ever had. I have met some of my closest friends and have some amazing memories. I have also experienced that during job interviews that being on a committee has really helped set me apart from other candidates. Being on a committee that has an annual revenue of $100k+, 200+ members, organises 5 trips, one of which is international. All of these things show really great leadership and organisational skills. I guarantee you that being on this committee will be one of the best decisions you make during univeristy! If youre at all interested please get in touch, dont worry if you have no experience in these kind of things because truly none of us did when we first started!
