15.01.2022 Here are four books I designed for Maribel Steel last year. They include a book of a lifetimes collection of quotes. A memorial book for a grandmother for her grandkids. A collaboration on the cover (with Harry Williamson) of the brilliant, "Blindness for Beginners" and a book of short fairy stories written & illustrated by her granddaughter, Silver. Great fun doing these!
14.01.2022 Great article in The Age today. worth a read :-) https://www.theage.com.au//what-the-pandemic-has-writers-t JESSIE TU... I go for a run or walk at least once a day. There’s great solace and comfort in being inside the body rather than inside the mind. My work as a writer and journalist is 100 per cent using my mind, so keeping the body moving is so important. I consume a lot of films and books, but I feel films give me a more expedient sense of visceral space than other forms of art, so I’ve felt calmed by watching films lately. I also feel walking is critical to my sense of selfhood. I can slow down, pay attention to nature, look at tangible features of the natural world and have a relationship with it. We should be asking ourselves what’s important to our own individual lives. I’ve started keeping a diary called things I’ll miss when I die. I’m always thinking about death. I find this addiction completely inspiring. It makes me cut through a lot of junk. Like, I’m able to simply not do things that are not on the list. I won’t miss Instagram when I am dead, so I hardly ever go on it. I won’t miss Twitter, social media, being online. I try to only spend time doing things that are on my list watching a sunset, cooking dinner and entertaining friends, reading a really great book and talking about it with my sister.

02.01.2022 https://leighhay.com.au/about/ Here is one of our Hub members website. Leigh is a multi talented editor, proof reader and poet as well. "A big part of my current publishing is through Tales from the Treehouse. Tales from the Treehouse is an all Australian publishing name created in 2015, offering books that retell old stories or provide insights into new ones. Within the words, these books contain messages of humour, whimsy, truth, respect, hope and imagination. They are packed full of quirky characters, extravagant colour and sensitive pencil illustrations. Tales from the Treehouse books are especially designed for astute adults, creative kids, responsive oldies, significant others, and anyone else who just likes to be read to.
