25.01.2022 In light of today's announcements we are excited to announce that from tomorrow, Meletos will be open for takeaway pizza for those living within 25km of our precinct! While our fingers remain crossed for reopening on November 1, we are truly pumped to be able to fire up the pizza oven again and welcome our (now extended) locals back! We will also be operating a bottle shop out of our Warehouse, where we will be flinging some of the Valley's best wines and of course Meletos Al...es! There is a light at the end of this tunnel and we cannot wait to get there - in the meantime, we're firing up the pizza oven and will see you all tomorrow! 11am - 7pm 7-days! 04.01.2022 Introducing Jayden Dunsford, our resident Dessert Wizard! Growing up in the leafy outskirts of Warrandyte, Chef Jayden Dunsford’s culinary career began in the early stages of high school when he realised his passion for the kitchen was more than just a weekend hobby. It didn’t take long for Jayden to establish that his love for cooking walked hand-in-hand with an immense talent for it, and over the course of the next few years he went on to achieve some immense accomplishment...s (VCE Top Design, a VCE Award for Excellence in Food Technology, the William Angliss Production Excellence Award, to name but a few!). Following his high school, Jayden transitioned to William Angliss, where he sunk his teeth into studying the art of patisserie. Whilst studying, he was chosen as part of an exclusive group to tour Singapore, showcasing the future of culinary creation coming out of Australia. At the age of 22, Jayden has already made his mark on Melbourne’s hospitality scene. From Pastry Chef at Burch and Perchase to Head Pastry Chef at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie (and a few highly regarded venues in between!), his career thus far is one chef’s 10 years his senior would be proud of. Not only an immensely talented chef, but a great guy whose adoration for cooking and creativity is infectious. Hard working, inspired and inspiring we couldn’t be happier that he’s taken up the mantel as Meletos’ in-house pastry chef. Welcome to the team mate, we’re loving everything you do! #meletos
