15.01.2022 Great memories of this Shahzada Marathon and Melfi in 1996. We were 1st Middle Weight in 29hr 45min, but were hours behind Robert Ward who was Heavy Weight on his amazing horse. The organisers were legends.

02.01.2022 Recently, (July 2019) Melfi Park Zaballa's resting heart rate was 26. Not as low as his sire Melfi Park Ali HR of 24 but impressive from both of them as they were in untrained, paddock condition. I have always found that resting heart rates become lower with horses that are trained and campaigned in endurance events.
