11.01.2022 R U OK? . If by some chance you missed it, today is R U OK day . . Which got me thinking about my own journey with mental health .... . After the birth of my first child I suffered from severe depression for many years. He was born extremely ill and upon reflection I now realize that internally I blamed myself . . To make matters worse after the birth of my second child my marriage broke down. Again I blamed myself and my depression was at its worst . . I really dont like to talk about it all now because I have changed my life around. It is all in the past and I prefer live in the present moment. Yes it still hurts but I have taught myself to acknowledge these feeling and then file them away . . I just want to let you know and I know it sounds cliche but time heals all wounds . . It is ok to be sad, depressed, angry or emotional, acknowledge it for sure, hell even talk to someone as they may just have the right words for you . . For me today I take comfort in knowing that my wheel is balanced and my cup is full . . My purpose in life today is to ensure you wheel is balanced to.
