22.01.2022 Oh Hey Sorry its been a while between posts but Ive just been readjusting to Stage 3 2.0 here at Meli HQ! (Amongst creating some balloon goodness like this beauty ) In light of these restrictions Ive decided to make some changes to my services going forward :... I will only be offering standard latex helium bunches (3,5,9 or more) No foils or numbers. I have some limited foil stock available but wont be ordering in more stock for helium. Balloon garlands, cake toppers, number towers and hoops are still available for contactless pick up or local delivery BUT please note these require at least 2 WEEKS notice! Being a home based business I dont stock a full range and need time to order in custom stock. Fringe garlands are still available for purchase. Hire will be on hold for the time being. Personalised Prints are still available but in print only. Framed prints are not available until further notice. And lastly I will only reply to orders sent to my business pages (FB/Insta), not to my personal account. 20.01.2022 This is ME - Mel - Meli A! I'm taking a page out of @sociallyem's book and thought I would do a little "about meli a" post to give a little insight to who I am and how my business has got to where it is today. For starters - I am 31 and have a partner of 8 years - Branden. We have a cat - Marley. We built our first home last year. I am part Chilean (Mum) and part Greek&German (Dad). I am Fructose & Lactose Intolerant and was recently diagnosed with Endometriosis.... The business name - Meli A - in purely short for my full name - Melissa Ananiadis. I am a fully qualified graphic designer. I have over 12 years experience in various fields of design including commercial design & print production, newspaper & advertising, real estate floorplans, event planning and of course the standard branding/logo design and invites that have come with being a designer . Meli A officially launched in 2011 as a side hobby offering personalised prints/quotes as gifts. I had moved from the "city" to regional Victoria and was on a "journey" to working out "what I wanted from my life". A few years after moving - I took the leap to go out on my own. I have been self employed now for over 4 years now which has given me more freedom to grow my skills and products.. but being such a 'creative' this can be a little dangerous thing hence the list of ideas keeps growing and evolving! My current services have found a way to all tie in nicely with one another and I'm pretty proud of them: - personalised prints grew into a full graphic design service - this then grew into including wedding/ birthday stationery - which then grew into creating events for small businesses - which then grew into decorating these events and family & friends parties - which has now grown into offering fringe and balloon garlands all alongside all my existing skills and services and can be bundled into one great package!
