24.01.2022 I thought I would share what a personal branding shoot looks like. Recently we have created some image content to the brilliant graphic designer, Charli from @visualpivot. 2 weeks prior to her photoshoot we had a online meeting where we discovered her brand and what stories we wanted to create.... Charli was very well prepared with lots of example photos she liked. Each person is different as each photoshoot is. However, by the time of the shooting all of my clients have lots of ideas about what they need, and that is my biggest goal with our brand discovery meeting. To get to know my clients and be able to help them to show the real, authentic themselves. 24.01.2022 The honest truth I started learning product photography: So as personal brand photographer I mainly shoot people and maybe some of their products, but there is just a minority of my work, so I didn’t have too much experience with products. So when covid hit as so many other businesses, I lost all of my work.... However, I have seen product based online businesses with high quality products images have been making their biggest months as all of us at home go online and still spend money So when I saw my favorite brand photographer @amandacampeanu was lunching her online course Becoming a brand photographer I jumped and started learning from her. 13.01.2022 When I am choosing colors for the product I’m shooting I try to aim for monochromes. Using complementer colors somehow usually doesn’t for me, so I tend to stick to simplicity when it comes to colors and composition. What I play a lot with is lighting! Here I used two strip boxes from the side and one spotlight from above. This photo took me about 30 mins to achieve. ... I am quite happy with this dark a bit dramatic effect. For my clients’ brand I often create customized presets just for them and use the same preset next time we shoot together, so they can expect the same vibe and colors with their images.... In this photo I achieved balance with - using complementer colors, - 1 strong, 1 light positioning... - strong standing product on the left and the light almost floating product on the right -creating shapes and lines. I prefer harsh light, however here I felt I need to go with a softer look.
