The Spirit is free from harassment, the infant lives moment to moment, untainted by the acquired influence of conditioning. When hungry they eat, when tired they sleep. In their first year of growth they face challenges of cultivating their immunity from illness and developing a strong digestive system transforming what they eat and drink into energy. ... 19.01.2022 What does sleeping on your left side do for your body? We all sleep on different sides which can effect different parts of our body. Have you thought about your health or how your position can effect you and your baby while pregnant. Does the position of how you lay change these things? Sleeping on your right side changes how the heart works with pumping blood, sleeping on your right side places pressure against your blood vessels, changing blood circulation. ... If your pregnant you are advised not to sleep on your back from around week 20. The uterus expands and can place pressure on the inferior vena cava. This is the vein that returns blood from the lower body to your heart, the pressure may reduce blood flow to you and your baby. This can result in feeling lightheaded. Laying on your left side increases circulation and therefore more blood flow to baby. Changing how you sleep may alleviate symptoms that prevent you from having a good sleep and feeling rejuvenated on waking. Perhaps extra pillows will help support your body, allowing for greater comfort. Perhaps your breathing is the cause of your poor sleep? Chronic health conditions or poor breathing habits can change your sleep pattern and leave you feeling unwell or exhausted, some have issues with poor memory or lack of energy due to poor sleep. A big thank you to the amazing firefighters and the two men that were hurt we send our endearing thanks and well wishes. So it’s back to the drawing board with open hearts and mind to re-evaluate what is next for us and the clinic. ... There have been times when I could have picked up a drink, when it feels like your on the outside as everyone else is drinking and encouraging you to follow suite. However, this year has bought many challenges, many fun times and most of all the clarity to connect with who I am and where I’m heading. ... We numb the senses with alcohol, use it to unwind or perhaps get wound up. Either way it changes how our brain works, our emotions, hormones and relationships. Making the decision seemed the right thing to do, it was hard in the first few weeks, but now it just feels right. You don’t need that drink to settle the nerves, feel socially accepted or to get yourself to sleep at night. All you need is self love. It helps to have people around you who support you when you decide enough is enough. And that sitting in your own skin is easier than wanting to be somewhere or someone else. Be proud of who you are, be happy with who you are, don’t dull the senses, step into life and feel all it has to offer. I was never the person who needed to drink daily, or even weekly, it was the binge drinking that made me realise life had more to offer than hangovers and wasted days on the couch.
