04.01.2022 Handmade - limited edition stock now available online! @olindacollective One off pieces, all hand crafted in Sterling Silver This first piece featured to the left is made from sterling silver granules. The granules are melted down using a gas torch to form a larger granule, this is cooled and hammered in a series of heating and working the metal due to work hardening or the piece will crack. The metal is cleaned then rolled through a rolling mill w a pattern on top ...in this case it was a thin metal garland I liked, it's then sandwiched through the press. Clean up. Drill hole. Soak the pendant plate in an Oxidize bath which turns the sterling silver metal to a livepy matt black, rub back to desired colour to expose the recessed darker section in the embossing, Satin finish w scotchbrite, burnish the edges to a high polish, make and assemble jump ring. Oxidize the Sterling Silver chain, polish back to desired colour.
