25.01.2022 HEY HEY 2021, you saucy minx. Oooff, what a year, I hope everyone enjoyed some downtime over the holiday period. For all the newbies around here....Hi, I’m Melissa, I’m currently on my third cup of coffee for the day, while pondering how to cut down on said coffee while maintaining my sanity. Haa, I’ve since decided it’s not possible. ... A few things about me.... I’m a lover...I do it with my whole heart. But the best thing to come out of 2020...Boundaries, which have allowed for some pretty important self growth. So while I might love you, if you’re toxic to me...I’m just going to love you from right the fuck over here!!! I am usually the loudest in the room, my laugh especially. I believe you should always surround myself with people that feel like sunshine. Smooth Peanut Butter over Crunchy..(honestly who eats crunchy) Cheese...YEEEESSSS I may or may not have a linen obsession. I can’t stand dirty kitchen benches. I’ve managed to keep all my house plants alive the last year....I feel so Adulty (yes that’s a word) I can not pronounce the word New properly, it’s extremely frustrating. Aaaaaaand my fav word for 2020 as advised by my sister was...Interesting. Such a middle of the road word right, haha. But I promise that’s exactly what things are going to look like around here. I’ve got some super exciting projects happening this year, its going to be a busy one....So, Let’s bloody do this.

25.01.2022 This afternoons epic love fest brought to you by Tiff & Jono. Honestly sometimes I feel like such a scam artist. Heres why....youve all heard me go on and on about the importance of photos, the investment and the gift of having photos like this to look back on in the years to come. BUT with all that, comes the fact that every single session I do, I get just as much out of it. Getting to know my clients, just hangin, I honestly have SO.MUCH.FUN....the love I have for what I do is intense. Its like a drug I cant get enough of, I leave every session on an absolute high and then I get to relive it, looking at images like this. Far out man, what a wild fucking ride.

24.01.2022 Ill meet you where you are. It says a lot doesnt it...I will meet you where you are. There are always going to be the special people in your life that just get it. They come in, they hold space for you.....they do not ask anything of you, they simply meet you where you are. It can be hard to put our own emotions and ego aside to truly BE there for someone else. ... To be so present for someone, that you recognise this isnt about you, so whatever youre feeling about the situation right now, it can wait. You choose to unpack it later. Sometimes we look at a situation and feel we are approaching it with love and care, when really it is our ego masked with love and care. The ego is a sneaky little shit and without warning it can smack you upside the face and knock you flat on your arse. I am blessed to be surrounded by a group of women who show up, EVERY.DAMN.TIME. Even when I push them away because I have nothing left in the tank. They let me know that they are there and they wait. With love and understanding. They hold the space until I am ready....to meet me where I am. See more

24.01.2022 How does it make you feel?? Just one of the many thoughts floating around my head during a session but arguably the most important for me. I want you to feel it when you look at your photos. What’s it you may ask, well it looks different for all of us...the mess, the heart wrenching kinda love, the tummy aching laughs, the absolute joy of it all. And it is very much bursting out of these images.

I love supporting small business, because I kinda know a little about the drive and passion it takes to do it successfully and lets be honest Im chasing my tail A LOT!!! Not only have I known these guys for years but they have recently started to produce their own lentil flour and people are going crazy for it. So proud of these wonderful humans, their amazing product and all the hard work they are putting into it. ... 02.01.2022 So who else puts post it notes up on their bathroom mirror to look at, just to give themselves a little pep talk everyday??? Being the visual person I am, this works perfectly for me. Because you see, you read these little notes everyday. When you look at yourself, you really look at yourself. You look at the brightly coloured paper, the way the corners curl up, your messy handwriting, questioning the 5th grade teacher that gave you your pen license, then you notice the ex...tra one that your 6yr old added that says, I love you Mum, can I please have a dog (seriously Betsy enough with the dog). Before long, you know them off by heart, you can close your eyes, take a deep breath and you see them.....and then after a while you begin to believe them, you feel them. Because when things change inside you, things change around you...and that my friends is magic. See more
