20.01.2022 Are you sitting there thinking that you’ll be happy when you have [x], [y] or [z]? Do you feel like you're constantly looking externally to find joy, meaning and happiness? I used to feel this way. I constantly looked to those externally to make me happy. ... People, moments, objects. I had no idea how to just 'be', and to find my own inner peace and happiness. And then one day, I realized that I am, in fact, the one in control of my life.I am in control of my happiness. I hold the power, no one else. And in that moment, everything began to shift. I started looking for the joy in the small things in life. It was up to me to create my own sunshine & happiness. But what’s just as important is your energetic field. ... When was the last time you really took care of your energetic health? Do you feel you take on the energy of those around you? Do you find environments toxic and overwhelming? 99% of the time we will take on others energy without even noticing it. Bit by bit it will penetrate our aura. So what can you do to look after your energy today? 1Create a bubble of light around you before you go to work, leave the house or interact with others. This light acts as your protection whilst you're outside your home. 2Sage yourself and your home environment regularly. Visualize the energy being cleared. 3Use essential oils regularly on your body, and diffuse them in your space. Having a morning routine is a beautiful way of self-care, creating time and space for you to connect, replenish and set yourself up for a successful day. ... Simple self-care practices you can bring into your day include: Get outside and WALK Treat yourself to TEA in the sunshine Grab your fave book for a BATH (device free!) Write a list of all the things you’re GRATEFUL for! Get off your devices at least 2 hrs before bed Get to bed EARLIER! 13.01.2022 How Often Do You Give Yourself Permission To PLAY? I feel like it’s so easy to forget to have fun. And just be all serious and in-the-adult-ing all the time. When was the last time you let your hair down and had some real fun? Child-like, carefree, no-worries-in-the-world fun? ... What can you do today to bring more play into your life? Go and jump on your kids trampoline with your fave music pumping? Dance around the house in you PJs Perfect your best Cartwheels in the backyard Play on the kids equipment at the park (whether you have a child, or not!) Draw or paint for fun! Who cares about your artistic skills, kids don’t. That's the fun of it! One of the big areas I focus on with my clients is helping them to reconnect back into their heart and soul, so they can gain clarity about who they are and what they really want. And play-time is one way to really strengthen this connection. Remove devices, remove expectations and judgement, and just have FUN! I'd love to know - what's your fave way to relax & play? 11.01.2022 Feeling overwhelmed? Here’s my top 3 tips to bring more balance and grounding energy into your day. Life can be all kinds of full on and busy these days and as a result we can feel like it’s all a bit too much. I get it, and I feel it from time to time. It’s so easy to get caught up in the chaotic energy. Here’s 3 things you can start implementing in your life today to move away from that chaotic energy. ... + Create a meditation practice, schedule it in and commit to it. This can be a 5-10 minute practice, and the best time to do it is the time that works for you. This might be first thing in the morning, on your lunch break or whilst in the car for school pick up. Work out when it works for you, and do it then. + Have a grounding practice throughout the day. When you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, stressed or rushed stop - take 4 deep centering breaths and visualize roots coming out of your feet as you ground yourself. Pick your ideal location in your mind's eye, the beach, the bush, the forest and drink in the calm, serene vibes. + Slow down, and stop multitasking. More often than not we are doing one thing, but already thinking about the ten others that we need to do. Become laser focused on the task at hand, time block your day and do one thing at a time. We think we can multitask, but all we do is everything a little bit shit. Are you a serial ‘Yes’ woman? ... Saying no is a form of self care. We can’t always be there for everyone. Sometimes we are energy depleted, and saying yes will be a detriment to our wellbeing. So if it doesn’t... Fully inspire you Excite you Resonate with you Align with you Make you feel all the joy Or just doesn’t sound like something you want to to do Then say no thankyou. Let this be your permission slip to say no thankyou. No excuse or explanation necessary. If they’re a true friend, they will understand. If they don’t - it may be worth exploring the relationship, and having a conversation around boundary setting. 06.01.2022 My Sundays are becoming a day of deep ritual. I love spending the day really tuning into my body and giving it what it’s desiring. Whether that be play, movement, connections, relaxing, adventure or self reflection. I also love spending my Sundays really checking in with myself and my energy. I ask myself the following questions..... How am I feeling today? What is my soul asking of me today? Where is my energy at? Am I living in alignment?
