02.01.2022 Latest project at Manjedal with some deadly kids, teaching and creating aboriginal art. What a privilege to be a part of such a great event. At first the kids were reluctant and shy and next session I couldn't hold them back. They were eager to pick up the paint brushes and get to work.. Painting anything and everything (including my shirt lol). Some of these kids have had a rough start to life but listening and talking to them, they have big plans and dreams, some to be artists like myself, sports stars and police officers - what bloody champions... By the end of my sessions I was being called "Aunty Mel" and receiving some hand made gifts from the kids, so much respect and love... bring on the next one in July...
