24.01.2022 Hi everyone, we have had a couple of enquiries regarding "BALL WEIGHT" & how its calculated. I will make this as simple as possible; ball weight is 10% of your gross towing capacity & is the downward pressure weight applied directly to the top of the towing ball from your trailer/float; ie towing capacity is 3500 kg then 10% is 350 kg. It must be noted that the towing capacity is also effected by the gross vehicle weight. The more weight you have loaded in the vehicle,ie pas...sengers & luggage can effect the ball weight..."SO BE CAREFUL". If you want to work out your ball weight you can scale weigh it or do it via a weigh bridge. Your insurance provider will tell you what "THEIR" rate is, (this can vary between insurers), this information is available on the VicRoads web site. We have heard of a few people being ball weight checked in random stops by the police highway cars & warned to rectify their ball weight, so if in doubt "get it checked out" by your local trailer retailer. Overloaded ball weight may eventuate in your insurer not paying in your time of need. I hope this helps answer your enquiries as I also just recently learnt all about this grey area that is not general knowledge. Catch you all next time...Mel & Leon See more

23.01.2022 Hi everyone, We hope you all have had a great Christmas & new year. We are open but only on a limited basis due to ongoing family commitments. This year we will be cutting back on the amount of work we are doing due to my health issues & the need to take it a lot easier. This will mainly mean that there could be delays in when I can book you in. We are sorry for this inconvenience but I have been left with other choice but to follow the doctors advice. Regards Leon

22.01.2022 Good morning people, we are still plodding along & starting to wind down for xmas. It has been a very big year & we are looking forward to a break whilst most of you are getting stuck into your new season of competitions. Good luck to you all & we hope you achieve your goals.

21.01.2022 Hi one & all, Whilst we have cut back we have still been fairly busy doing a few general repairs etc. & a couple of trailer rebuilds. It has been encouraging to see that people are starting to maintain their floats a lot better & the repairs required are getting to be minor rather than major, well done to you all. Stay safe & we will get back to work. Mel & Leon

20.01.2022 Hi everyone, We hope all is well with you all. We have a little gripe with a few people who have made appointments & not turned up or even had the piece of mind to ring. This we find very inconsiderate not only to us but to our clients who on a few occasions had to wait needlessly. We understand that the unexpected does crop up or should you have changed your mind & gone somewhere else, that also is not a problem, but please just be courteous & let us know. On a more pleasant... note we will be offering a large high end late model Stallion float for sale in the next week. The float has all the goodies, sleeping, cooking, fridge separated from a 2 horse angle, swing out tack box etc etc. We are currently servicing it & making sure everything is trouble free. The float is available for inspection by appointment & pics will be posted shortly. If you or someone you know is interested please contact me on our phone number. We are representing this float for a long time customer who has decided to upgrade to a truck. Ok stay safe & talk to you again soon See more

02.01.2022 Fire Relief / Help Our little family business "Ryebucks Australia" are not in a position to be able to hand over a large donation of money unfortunately.... ...BUT - we are able to help in our own way! We are very proud to announce that we have donated 2x large boxes of brand new clothing (shirts, t-shirts, pants, jeans) Akubra hats, caps, belts, towels, sleeping bags and other items to the value of over $4000! We have given these boxes to the awesome team at Blue Sky Extreme Cowboy Club, for them to distribute over Gippsland VIC and various places, where people are desperately needing supplies. We hope our little donation of supplies is helpful to the many who are affected by these horrific fires. Fingers crossed the worst is now over #kindness #dowhatwecan #aussiespirit #ryebucksaustralia

01.01.2022 Good morning everyone, well we have been busy, even though I am trying to slow down. Well some of you have given me some very interesting challenges in , "non horse related", items which has made the old grey matter work. These challenges have been taken on & completed. I have also finally had time to rebuild my car trailer along with several trailers belonging to a few of you and an unusual amount of failed jockey wheels. Anyway all is still wandering along & we hope all is good with you. Thank you for your business & I look forward to what other "interesting" items you bring me for repair. Stay safe Mel & Leon
