All of our hut trips are great but this Easter was one of the best! We are so upset to think that the next time we visit, it might be to tear it down!!!!!! For six days our kids entertained themselves, they tried new things, they took risks and they were completely happy! Here is Sofia's latest blog on the "Hut Trip". These huts are hurting nobody and bring nothing but joy to our community. I think Minister Leanne Enoch and Minister Dr Anthony Lynum need to step out from behind the protection of their departments and face the real people that will be effected by this call to remove the Halifax Bay Huts. 03.01.2022 What I experienced on Sunday was truly amazing. This little team of champions showed everyone how this beautiful game should be played. With tenacity, speed , skill and the willingness to win whist displaying excellent sportsmanship. Your ability to listen and learn is beyond your years. Many contacts that I have made throughout my playing years in football we’re asking about this little team and how long we have been together. They were amazed that our first training session... was on Sat morning prior to the carnival. With 4 group game wins , one semi final win and a narrow 3-4 loss to the Burdekin made me truly proud. As you are all great mates off the field it shows when you are together on the field. Some of the skill you all displayed on the field is truly Brazilian in flavour. You do not learn this, you were all born with this DNA to express this talent. Stay together, dream big and reach for the stars. Let me learn from you. Coach Lorry. See more
