Just letting you all know every player will be contacted by the club over the next couple of weeks to organise your refunds. We thank you in advance for your patience. 11.01.2022 Well, folks, it’s time to snap out of our Covid daze and start thinking soccer again. Melrose FC is holding a get-together, a gatho , a catch-up, a chinwag ( I think you get the picture) this Sunday from 10am, down at Melrose Park. We will be informing everyone in attendance about the new lights, which have been erected and will be powered up soon, a progress report and discussion about the new club rooms project, discussing and seeking ideas about the coming season etc.... Following this will be the Annual General Meeting. Anyone is welcome to stay and watch, vote and even join the committee if they so choose. Balls will be out so the kids.. young, old and even kids over 50 are encouraged to come and have a kick. Please bring a chair. It’s gonna take effort to pull all the clubs out of their Covid hibernation. That includes us. So, as much as any other time in its history, MELROSE NEEDS YOU. Cheers. Daz- MM See more

11.01.2022 Melrose FC Committee and Members send our condolences to the family of Brian Devenney after his untimely passing last week. Brian was Secretary in 1978 and 1979, and led the Seniors to their first ever Cup win in 1986. Brian’s father, Bob, was Senior Coach from 1978 to 1982, as well as serving several years on the committee. He was awarded Life Membership in 1982. Brian’s siblings won multiple Best and Fairest at Melrose Park Rangers in both the Senior Men’s and Women’s teams. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Brian.

You are welcome to organise a group of players to have a kick around at Melrose or any public park but you will not be covered by insurance. Further information on refunds will be emailed to you. 01.01.2022 Hey all, So sorry about the short notice on this. Things changed quickly yesterday, such is the current climate. But.., Can everybody please respond to the email about deregistering so you can get a refund. This must be done by 5pm tomorrow. Any problems, please contact the number on the email for assistance.... EDITED ADDITION.. Without deregistering ... someone registered who hasn’t fully paid yet will still be liable for their fee because the club is still charged for that registration. And registrations that have been paid will not be eligible for a refund, for the same reason. We know this is inconvenient but nobody wants issues over unpaid or unrefunded registrations. So please... DEREGISTER by 5 pm tomorrow. Once again, apologies for the short notice.
