25.01.2022 Good news for our club as we near the end of another season. Our Div4 side finished minor premiers and will fight for the Royals pennant over the coming weeks. Our Blieschke Shield Wednesday pennant team finished fourth and won the elimination final and will play Gladstone this Wednesday for a spot in the grand final. And in the Saturday pennant season, our Div1 side got off the canvass and might have finished out of finals contention but it staved off relegation to Div2. That honour will go to Booleroo Centre.

23.01.2022 More high temperatures in our region today have forced the cancellation of all NWBA pennant matches.Tomorrow's state pairs champiosnhips will still go ahead in Port Pirie provided the expected cool change comes in tonight. Enjoy and stay cool!

23.01.2022 Press release just in from Bowls SA After consultation and investigation, in conjunction with the Match & Program Committee, it has been decided that the 2016 MGA Men’s Country Carnival Singles event will unfortunately be cancelled this year. This is in line with the 2016 MGA Men’s Country Carnival Conditions of Play which state that if it becomes necessary to close greens due to inclement (wet) weather at anytime on the first day of an event, the event will be cancelled. Bow...ls SA and the Match & Program Committee did investigate all options in being able to run the event following the closure of a number of greens for the first day of play on Tuesday 2 February, however after factoring in all options and much deliberation, the event was not feasible to be rescheduled. Bowls SA and the Match & Program Committee would like to thank all host clubs, volunteers, markers, club managers, officials and greenkeepers in their attempts to have play continue. We appreciate some members may be disappointed, however all avenues have been explored in making this difficult decision and respect that some clubs have made the difficult decision to close their greens due to rain and damage themselves. 22.01.2022 Our club just hosted an historic meeting of the Region 3 upper Northern and North Western sections. Delegates will return on August 2 to elect board members etc. Of the new entity

21.01.2022 Mid week bowls started today and we came away from Caltowie with a win, both rinks up for maximum points.

21.01.2022 Probably should have mentioned this before, but we followed up our pennant win with victory in the Blieschke Shield. Representing the East Division, Melrose took on West Division juggernaut BHAS Red. We won by five shots in a heart-stopping match.

18.01.2022 Two of our teams are playing grand finals this week Today, the Men’s mid week team plays for the Blieschke Shield East division pennant. And tomorrow our Ladies team play for their pennant, against Jamestown Gold. Good luck to both teams.
