25.01.2022 Hi All, Just wanted to let you know that we have put the Education Day lunches for next week, on our online canteen order site. There is the student one as well as the parents one under the "Pack" menu for any parents that are planning to have lunch with their children. We would appriciate it if you could order before the day if possible to help us cater for all orders.
24.01.2022 Hi all, just wanted to let everyone know karin has gone off for a knee replacement this term. Any parents who contact her for lunch orders etc can message through here so it doesn't get lost. We wish her a quick and speedy recovery. In saying that im sure you will find our new ladies just as friendly and helpful. If you have any questions or queries please feel free to contact us via here. Just want to remind parents that we are offering our breakfast menu again from 8.30am, we've got a great selection for the kids to choose from so send them down and we'll be happy to help them out. 23.01.2022 Tomorrow the year 6 students are selling some cakes from the canteen. All proceeds from these sales are kindly being donated to the schools support unit. This money will help to hire a bus to get them to their Christmas party. Come on down at lunch and recess to help out our kids outs. The cakes will be available for $1.50, also available in the morning for the early birds and their kids. Thanks, Karin

22.01.2022 Hi guys, term 4 already! We just wanted to let parents and carers know we will be trialling an after school service, we will be open until 3.15/3.30 for any body wanting to grab a drink, ice-block or snack for the way home. Also after a few enquiries from parents, we do offer outside school catering for parties or functions aswell as the service of birthday cupcakes or cakepops delivered to the classroom! 22.01.2022 Hi all, sorry haven’t posted the last few weeks, it’s the silly season so have been very busy but just wanted to let parents know we are open the last 3 days of the term. You can still order these packs tomorrow and we have some notes in the canteen if you don’t already have one Also we have had a few requests that kids would like the blue pack but with the hotdog if you require this just put it on the note thanks.
21.01.2022 Well, that’s the end of week 2 over already. This week we started our new healthy box menu and quite a few kids have given it a try and are loving them. It is really good to see the kids picking the healthy option. Also the notes for the Halloween lunch went home this week, so be sure to get them in to join in on this day. 20.01.2022 Hi everyone, it’s been another busy week at Ambarvale. For those who have not been counting, there is only 3 weeks left till the holidays. Next week we are offering a Christmas lunch pack on Tuesday 28th November and will also be selling Christmas treats on the day. The bag can also be ordered through the online canteen page, it is listed under the packs category. We are donating $2 from each bag back to the school, to help the support unit pay for the bus to go to their Christmas party. We hope you all have a great weekend.
20.01.2022 Hi everyone. We hope you all had an awesome break and are ready to return back to school tomorrow. We are starting our new school approved menu tomorrow. You will notice a couple of changes to bring it in-line with the guidelines set out by the Department of Health and with that, we have had to have a small price increase on some items. 14.01.2022 Hi all and welcome to 2018, it was so good to see all your smiley faces again! We will be sending the notes home next week for the year 6 volunteers, we had a few kids come to the canteen today already eager to get in and help. We hope everyone got a chance to check out the new front to the canteen, there’s still more to do but the holidays were over before they began, lol, will post pics soon. If it is easier and more convenient for you, take advantage of our online ordering to save the congestion at the canteen front. Also if you don’t want your kids handling money due to the germs, you can give me a call and place money on a tab via eftpos and then the child just needs to stop by with their order on a bag or paper. Over the counter items can also be brought with this tab. We hope everyone is well and keeping safe and hope to still see everyone’s smiling faces

10.01.2022 Week 4 at Ambarvale.. the kids have loved coming up at recess to see what we have made for the day. Some even making sure they save their money to get the delicious, healthy treats we have offered. We have loved creating them all, and look forward to more ideas :)

08.01.2022 Hi all, cant believe it is week 4 already, just letting you all know that lunch orders can still be made as normal tomorrow for the athletics carnival. I will also have sandwiches, wraps, rolls and salads available for purchase aswell as some hot food if you wish to pre order before 9:30am. Drinks and other refreshments will be available throughout the day and i will be open until 3pm tomorrow for any last minutes snacks or iceblocks. Thanks Karin
08.01.2022 Well that’s the end of 2017 at Ambarvale Public School for us! We would all like to thank everyone for their continued support and I would also like to thank the year 6 girls that came in every lunch to help me out and say what a great and fun year we have had serving all those smiling faces. We would like to wish all the year 6 kids good luck in going off to high school, we will miss all their friendly faces! So, from our families to yours, have a great holidays and a very Merry Christmas. We will see you all next year, it will be here before we know it take care!

Where has the year gone, week 7 next week already. With only 33 sleeps until Christmas, stay tuned for some Santa related snacks also

07.01.2022 Fresh for Kids Canteen Campaign Eat fresh and Win! Fresh for Kids will once again be running the ‘Eat Fresh and Win’ Canteen Campaign. This year there is some awesome new prizes up for grabs, to reward kids for eating fresh. They are also offering a special prize for the school that sends back the highest number of completed entry forms. Fresh for Kids aims to get children consuming more fresh produce, portraying fresh as desirable, diverse and delicious. ... Students start collecting from tomorrow, Monday 5th August. How are children rewarded? 1. Students are rewarded instantly with a tokens ticket, which must be placed on the entry form, after making a fresh fruit and/or vegetable purchase. 2. Once students have collected two token stickers, they return the completed entry form to the canteen where they receive a fruit stamper texta. There are 7 stampers to collect. 3. After the campaign has concluded, all entry forms will be returned to Sydney Markets by us, where they will be eligible to enter the draw to win some fantastic major prizes. There will be campaign posters put up at the canteen with all the prizes that could be won. We can not wait to see all the students coming up to buy their fresh fruit.
06.01.2022 Wow, the holidays are over already and just like that we are ready to welcome term 2! We hope the teachers all enjoyed their lunch today, ready for the kids return tomorrow. 05.01.2022 We thought we would share some pics of the cakes we made today for the book parade for Education Week. The kids and parents loved them and they sold out very quickly. I would like to let parents know that these cakes can be ordered for the students birthdays and delivered to their classroom. They can also be ordered any time you need them for a special occasion with just a days notice. We have other designs if you want something in particular, just ask and we will see if it ...can be done. We are not afraid to try making anything once. We hope you all had a great day. See more

01.01.2022 Hi All. Just letting you know this Tuesday 26th June, we are having the state of origin lunch bag. The bag can be ordered online (under the packs menu) as well as at the canteen. We wanted to also let people know, if they want to, they can order a chicken pie or chicken sausage roll instead of beef.
