21.01.2022 Good afternoon all, We are on our way into Term 4, Thanks to our parents & Swimmers it is the busiest one I’ve had since opening in July 2017. I wanted to provide a little bit of insight into what happens behind the scenes so hopefully, you will understand the changes that I am putting into place for Term 1 2021.... Mel’s Aqua is not like the other swim schools; we keep all the class numbers to a maximum of four. I create the schedule to accommodate the families that swim with us so that they can swim either at the same time or straight after each other and that takes some serious coordinating and an immense number of hours over many weeks. As a Small business owner, Mum of three with a husband that works away, I completely understand the juggling act of changing terms, sports, different responsibilities with work commitments as well as sometimes not knowing what is happening weeks ahead of time. However, I am spending the entire holiday periods that I am not in the pool, doing the admin side of things instead of enjoying quality family time. I have spent the last eight months working on & building a system to help alleviate some of the admin requirements, with this in mind the following changes will take place for term 1. Changes for Term 1 2021 Everyone re-enrol for Term 1 2021, by going to the website and filling out the enrolment form www.melsaqua.com.au/enrolment (Do not do this until the 1st of December) Limiting the enrolment opportunity to a one week period (1st 8th December 2020 For current students, please put in your calendars now, as I am opening up any spots not claimed on the 11th December to the public.) Fun day group classes will now have up to the 4 children swimming in the group, depending on ability Invoices will be due 16th January 2021, Any unpaid spots will be allocated to the waiting list Mums and Bubs classes will be run at 9:30 am, Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur. 03.01.2022 Certificate Clarification Good morning all, just some clarification that is causing some confusion. Attached is the Certificate that we must use from Royal Life.... Under the child's name, it has a sentence like the one below depending on the stage (has successfully completed all the swimming water safety and survival skills to fulfil the requirements of Beginner) This does not mean little Johnny has passed the stage, Please look at the please enrol in the stage number to see of they have passed. On the second page you can see which of the skills are ticked and not ticked also. Hope this provides some clarification. Have a great day
