22.01.2022 Gift Card Application for Fire Victims During the last few months we have received a variety of donated gift cards to which we were hoping to have distributed ...earlier however the COVID-19 virus has temporarily put a hold on this. We’d like to be transparent about this opportunity for financial assistance so here’s how it will work. Gifts cards will be distributed to help meet expenses of bushfire affected families who have lost their primary place of residence, including homes that are uninhabitable, in the Wingecarribee and Wollondilly local government areas. Gift cards to the maximum value of $200 per family/household will be available to eligible applicants in accordance with the constitution of our Recovery Assistance Fund. Numbered application forms will be allocated and emailed to eligible residents (this is the easiest and safest method given Covid virus concerns). This will also allow us to track and record applications in a transparent way and ensure ineligible people do not apply. If you have not provided your email address to either Kerrie O’Grady or Kim Hill at the Community Recovery Hub then you will need to contact one of the following people to ensure that we have your details: Kerrie O’Grady 0413 003 601 Kim Hill 0412 786 114 Charmaine Cooper Wingecarribee Shire Council 4868 0861 Ally Dench Wollondilly Shire Council 4677 1100 Once the current COVID-19 isolation precautions ease please return the completed form in person with your photo I.D. to the Community Recovery Hub located at Balmoral Village Hall (corner of Hall Road and Wilson Drive), to Wollondilly Shire Council (62 64 Menangle Street, Picton) or Wingecarribee Shire Council (Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale). Your application will then be reviewed and assessed by the Community Recovery Hub Recovery Assistance Fund Committee and you will be notified of the outcome. Please note we cannot give a date as to when these gift cards will be available at this stage due to the current COVID-19 events which is out of our control.
