24.01.2022 So I'm not vegan, but there's alot of sense in this video. Personally I don't consume much in the way of meats or dairy & I definitely prefer plant based protein sources. I'm reading into this lifestyle & trying to learn more. I find it fascinating how your body responds to what you put into it! Over the years I tried to get on board with the low-carb fad... my body showed me how wrong that was... I just got tired, fat & grumpy! Carbs & healthy fats are responsible for run...ning your body, providing you with energy, aiding in maintaining healthy hormone levels & so much more... they are vital! Eat your carbs! Also there is something to be said for not drinking calf food! Homemade almond milk for me #striveon #fitlife

21.01.2022 It's fine if you struggle. It's normal to have set backs. It's expected that you'll lose your mojo along the way & it's almost certain it'll happen more than once! Getting back into your zone isn't easy but is so damn worth it!!! After struggling this last 2 weeks, I finally had a decent workout today - whoohoo! 11.01.2022 Ahh Christmas, we meet again After some seriously merry overindulging, along with a good dose of New Years celebrating... my body is paying the price. Thankfully I can still fit into more than just my tracky's! I'm not usually one for new year resolutions. I set myself goals on the regular, I don't let the date dictate my dreams!! So here are my current goals (call them new year resolutions if you wish):... *Lift more - reach 100kg deadlift (soooo close currently at 90kg for a 5RM) *Eat consistently better - now i'm all for a cheat meal here & there but my Christmas turned into cheat days! *Destress & keep my focus - everyone feels a little defeated once in a while & I'll admit I let it get the better of me the last few weeks. I'm very attached to my dreams but need to learn how to work to my strengths & not burn myself out... story of my life! *Revamp our shed, aka: the soon-to-be private studio for training clients in air-conned comfort! *Finish up & launch my new shiny website! Announcement to come in the coming weeks *Increasing my client numbers to help other people discover & reach their own dreams/goals!! *Increase my knowledge! This goal is ongoing for life since the more you learn, the more you realise you don't know... the more you want to learn! It's a vicious cycle So much to do! 08.01.2022 Aiming to get my eating back on track & hit my macros bang on this week. So far, so good! Obviously healthy, nutrient rich foods don't have to be bland... there is sooooo much flavour in vegies. Look what I dished up for dinner last night & for lunch today... & I'm not even a chef! Just trying to eat a rainbow of foods so I don't miss out on all those micronutrients... & coz it's pretty ... Stay tuned for the yummiest 1 ingredient dessert EVER. Big call? Yep, but I speak the truth!!

03.01.2022 This was me last week, in an exhaustion enduced pool of sweat but I did reach a new PB!! I've always been a slow, steady runner so I wanted to run 5kms in under 30mins. Thanks to a few smaller goals along the way, my own stubbornness & a little sibling rivalry I finally did it!! Always push yourself to go further, run faster, lift more or do more than you could last week! Set yourself small achievable goals you can aim for while keeping your end goal in sight.... 5kms in 29:25 #striveon #strivefit

01.01.2022 It's about what you eat, not necessarily how much! I started to drop bodyfat when I almost doubled my food intake. Basically I did the opposite of what I had always been told I should do.
