14.01.2022 It has come to my attention that a number of couples who have recently married are still without their marriage certificates, even some 5-6 weeks after applying for them. Unfortunately, Births Deaths and Marriages in Victoria seem to have a huge backload of applications. I will continue to monitor the portal I have access to and will immediately contact couples once I see their marriage is registered, but beyond this, the timeframe for marriage registration is out of my control. Should anyone require their certificate for urgent purposes, please feel free to call me and we can discuss some possible options. Thank you for your patience.

09.01.2022 This morning I had the pleasure of speaking with Sandra Moon on the ABC radio of the effects COVID-19 is having on the wedding industry. I informed Sandra that so far, I have not experienced any cancellations or postponements of wedding ceremonies, but in the times we are currently in, I will be urging my clients to consider the following: having plenty of tissues and hand sanitizers available for guests perhaps requesting guests not hug and kiss by way of congratulating ...but rather perhaps a fist pump with a loud woo hoo guests who may be high risk or even already infected may still participate in the ceremony but via livestream such as FaceTime. I will continue to adhere to recommendations and regulations issued by the Department of Health and I will communicate with my couples as to the best way to implement procedures to ensure their ceremony is as safe as possible, but without doom the gloom. After all, we are celebrating love, and light can be found amongst the shadows. See more

07.01.2022 This afternoon I conducted my first social distancing wedding - just the bride, groom and their mums acting as witnesses. Other family members joined via FaceTime (how good is modern technology). Ceremony was held at the beautiful Browns Lagoon and unfortunately we did encounter a heavy shower but that did not dampen the spirits of this gorgeous couple.
