25.01.2022 *******URGENT*****URGENT******URGENT***** While there has not been an official announcement of a start date for round 1, the club still needs to be prepared if/when this happens. An email has been sent out to all registered players with a link to join TEAMAPP this is to complete a survey in relation to returning to training, competition and COVID-19 volunteers.... If you have not received an email there is a possibility you are not registered. If you are not registered you will not be able to train. Please contact the club if this is the case. The club needs your support now more than ever, the best way to show this support is to ask your teams coach if you can help with being a COVID-19 officer. It will only be for your child/children's team. Without these appointed officers, training will not resume on any level. Contributions in the way of hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, and any other form of cleaning product, would also be most welcomed. These will go a long way in ensuring our club is as safe of an environment as possible in the event of a return. thanking you all, Christopher Hanson President MCJFNC

We would also like to thank Chris Hanson and Melissa Baker who unfortunately have had to step down from their positions due to personal reasons and/ or moving away from the club Their time and commitment to our club over the past few years has been very much appreciated and was far from second to none. Thank you. So please ask around your friends and family and if you have someone in mind to fill these roles please encourage them to contact us We are still taking nominations for general committee also .

19.01.2022 This year has been at the least shall I say pleasant due to Covid-19. With restrictions meaning our sport that we all love is not played by our children. We don’t get to see them running around on the field and / or courts. We understand it has taken some of our members jobs and General happiness. It too has taken a lot from us at a club, we lost sponsorships due to business hardship which is what we rely heavily on. ... So we are asking each and everyone of you to please do us a favour. The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) is completing a key piece of research that will inform the work in promoting road safety in Victoria moving forward, and the help of you and your clubs community can land you $1,000 worth of new gear for the 2021 season. The survey is being conducted by EY Sweeney on behalf of the TAC and AFL Victoria. It should take you no more than ten minutes to complete. The club who generates the highest number of individual respondents in the region will claim the prize, so access and share the following link now : https://www2.srnet.com.au/SE/1/31046/ This survey is available until midnight Friday 11th September. All responses are treated in the strictest confidence, according to privacy legislation. As a market research company, EY Sweeney complies with the requirements of the Privacy Act. The information you have provided will be used only for market research purposes. So MCJFNC would really appreciate your support so that we can come back stronger and ready for 2021.

19.01.2022 Melton Centrals family - we need your assistance! We are aiming to provide a fresh and informative facebook page/social media so we are currently after any photos or pictures you may have of our Centrals boys and girls in action over the last season or so whilst we await season 2021 to use for promotion. We can't guarantee we will use all submissions but we aim to have enough pictures of girls and boys football and netball to promote equally. Please submit your photos directly to our club through messenger. Thank you!

19.01.2022 Congratulations to all these fantastic clubs, organizations and associations on receiving additional funding under the Community Sport Sector COVID-19 Survival Package.

19.01.2022 *ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR PLAYERS AND FAMILIES* Over the past two weeks there has been a lot of information posted on social media via various bodies in relation to community football and netball being able to return to training. With this comes procedures and protocols that must be strictly adhered to for training to take place. While some may think these are trivial, we all must understand that in the current environment the potential for someone contracting the virus and putti...ng others at risk is quite real. As a club we have a duty of care to not only our players, coaches, parents, and volunteers but to members of the local community. Over the last few days many discussions have taken place to come up with a decision that is best for the club at this time. Last night we held a general committee meeting and the consensus was to hold off on the return to training for both football and netball. This decision was based largely on the current government restrictions that are in place and the fact that we still have no confirmed date for the season to start, both being beyond our control. Once the club is informed of a guaranteed start date for Round 1, all efforts will go into making sure that MCJFNC are well enough prepared both on and off the grounds and courts to be part of this return to competition. If and when the time comes for players to return to training, dependent on what protocols will still need to be adhered to, the club would be in great need of volunteers to help with firstly the implementation of, and then continued conformance, with protocols. Thank you all for your understanding. CHRISTOPHER HANSON PRESIDENT MCJFNC

07.01.2022 Below is latest update from the RDNFL: On the back of today’s State Government announcement around easing some restrictions, AFL Victoria’s position around training is that no sanctioned training should take place until further notice. AFL Victoria will seek clarity from the State Government around what today’s announcement means for community football and be in contact in due course.... A number of considerations around health and safety protocols and insurance need to be worked through prior to any training being sanctioned. AFL Victoria will provide a return to play protocol for community leagues and clubs once it is approved by the State Government.
