Andrew has 25 years of experience in Basketball Coaching. Most recently with Sunbury Jets. 2013/14 Ast Coach YL Womens. 2015/18 Head Coach YL Womens. Runners up in 2015. Championships in 2017 & 2018. Adrian Adams - Youth League Womens Head Coach Adrian has done it all at Melton. Coaching domestic juniors for the past 6 years. Melton VJBL Head Coach for the past 5 years and as such a pathway to YL is his next calling. Adrian is also the Head Coach for the Kyneton Tigers in CBL. Championship at Country Champs. 24.01.2022 If you were successful in making one of our junior VJBL teams, our training times are stated below & will commence on Wednesday the 2nd Nov (this week) @ the REC Centre. Uniform fittings will also be available on the day, if you are new to the club OR need an upsize in uniforms. If you are purchasing uniforms, you will be required to pay on the day & EFTPOS will be available & will be the preferred payment option. ... * please note * MBA recommend not purchasing second hand uniform as numbers are allocated by the club. Some older uniforms no longer meet vjbl requirements.

20.01.2022 With the City of Melton community doing the right thing in keeping the numbers low, Melton Basketball is opening up some casual sessions with Chris Johnson at Heatdhale Stadium for the next 3 days. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm... $20 per session or $50 for same session all three days. Sessions are limited to 20 participants. Sanitiser and paperwork at the door. Things to bring: Ball / 2 Drink Bottles Get in now and see where those skill are at before we hit the courts in less than 2 weeks.

12.01.2022 We were so close but as most are possibly aware we are now going back into lockdown from Midnight tonight. What we know is all venues will be shut as of Midnight tonight, VJBL is cancelled for the 2019/20 Season and we are working with VJBL in regards to resumption and what we can salvage from the 2019/20 season. Big V is also cancelled for 2020. Domestic programs are postponed and new season dates are being planned, Aussie Hoops is postponed till term 4. Anyone that has pai...d their BV Membership can be satisfied to learn that the 12 months of membership will not commence until we do. Any Senior teams that have entered competitions will be transferred over to the new start date when it has been organised. Any Aussie Hoopers registered for term 3 will be transferred to Term 4 and be contacted when a new start date can be determined. What we dont know is when venues will re-open, will it be in 6 weeks or 12, this will be discussed over the following months and a new plan of resumption of competitions will follow. The good news is most of the hard work is done in regards to return to play plans and when we get to come back we already know how we will do it with plans approved by Venues, sure there might be some tweeking but we are already to go when we get the chance. The likelihood of us coming back and straight into tryouts for VJBL and BIG V are high and we want you to be in the best shape possible. 11.01.2022 IMPORTANT NEWS: WE ARE GOOD TO GO.... In light of the current situation everyone has been in with a shut down happening in March, we have now finally seen the light to return to competition. Due to the time in between we unfortunately have walked away from the Summer Season without completion and as such a No Result of that season has been decided. ... We are getting back to basketball which makes us all winners and we move forward to a short but sweet Winter 2020 Season. Junior Domestic will be able to commence training from the 13th July with a back to competition date of the 18th July. Aussie Hoops will be back in Melton Only at this stage from the 15th July with Caroline Springs to Commence in Term 4. Senior Domestic to commence from Monday the 20th July. Changes you will notice when visiting our Venues are Separate Entry and Exit Points, a new system for registration, Sanitiser on entry for Basketballs and Hands, Sanitiser on Scoretables, and a 20 min gap between games to Sanitise areas, This will be our new normal for now. What we are looking for now is commitment from our members so we can start preparing fixtures and personnel to make sure we provide a safe environment for all to return to Basketball. We hope all have been well during the last 3 months and look forward to seeing everyone as we ease back into the game we love.
