WE the Melton Hospital Group... have taken it on and supporting one of our own members to stand up for what we need. Stand up and make a difference in getting our much needed Hospital and not only that up grading the community as a whole. 11.01.2022 Congratulations Dr. Ian Birchall and the fantastic effort by the committee and the whole team of the Melton Hospital Group! But - We know our work is not ...over! We are taking the "Terminator" approach - We will not stop until we are cutting the ribbon to the new Melton Hospital that our rapidly growing community so urgently needs. A big swing away from Labor in Melton despite a statewide swing towards them is certainly a victory for our group and a cry for attention for the glaring need for such vital infrastructure. We think we have been very fortunate that our new MP for Melton Stephen McGhie has such a fine background as an Ambulance Officer and representative for paramedics and he will most likely have a very good understanding of our need for Melton Hospital. 10.01.2022 Great news with our MHG secretary, Dr Ian Birchall, deciding to run as an Independent candidate at the upcoming State election. Over 12 months of dedicated work... from our group of local volunteers campaigning and lobbying our major political parties to build a much needed hospital continues to fall on deaf ears. The NEED IS OBVIOUS and the NEED IS NOW. Congratulations Ian on making a stand for the people of our community and let’s hope our residents support you and this project that will ensure the health, employment, education, and transport infrastructures associated with a hospital will flourish in our region for years to come.
