21.01.2022 I recently styled a property for sale. My advice to them was to de-clutter and to swap 'big' furniture pieces with smaller ones that suited the space better, allowing the buyers to see what the home really had to offer. It worked. This home sold at first open home and for a record price in the area. Minimise unnecessary distractions and bring the focus to the areas of real value. This will allow you to create a space that sells 'lifestyle' creating emotions within the buyers, allowing you to sell at the highest market price available. Presentation is key. Prepare yourself for marketing, it makes all the difference. With panoramic ocean views demanding all the attention, the softer colours allowed the ocean views to do all the talking. Complimenting the soft coastal colour palette of the Sunshine Coast, this property has gone under contract within the first week of marketing. Fantastic result. 01.01.2022 So.. I won first prize at Domayne's Acknowledgement and Awards Night for Property Styling a beautiful home on the Sunshine Coast. Up against 50 other stylists f...rom all over South East Queensland and judged by the famous Designer Boys and Editor of Real Living Magazine, Elle Lovelock, my submission for Meluka Design won first prize! All of the stylists submitted beautiful work and you're all winners in my eyes. I feel extremely humble to have won such a prestigious award. Thank you to Melinda and the team from Domayne Hire for organising such a wonderful event, and to Waz, Gaz and Elle for the tricky job of picking the winners.
