A plaque will be unveiled by the Mayor of the City of Melville, Hon. George Gear, along with the local Member for Willagee, Hon. Peter Tinley AM (on behalf of the Minsister for Sport and Recreation). 20.01.2022 RUNNERS-UP After a real arm wrestle, our J11/12A Reserve Girls went down 0-1 to Lions. The winning goal was scored in the last five minutes. The girls have had a wonderful season under coach Rohan, having won nine games and drawn one, with no losses. Congratulations girls!

20.01.2022 PREMIERS!!! Two of our J11/12 teams have won Premierships tonight! Congratulations to the J11/12 A Girls and Coach Casey Donaldson who defeated a very strong Wolves team 3-0. And an amazing never-give-up attitude saw the J11/12 A Merged Boys, coached by Matt Willis, come back from 0-2 down to win 3-2 over Reds in the last minute of the game (we scored with 55 seconds to go, and then had to defend two after-the-siren penalty corners)!! So proud of all of our J11/12 player...s this year, many of whom played their last Junior game tonight. 20.01.2022 Melville would like to send a heartfelt congratulations to Chris & Jenna Morrison (Morro to most of us) who welcomed baby Finn into the world. Chris and Jenna met at the club many moons ago and have contributed on and off the field over the years. In double news, our favourite Pink Turtle GK, Tearne and her husband Ray, welcome baby Elijah as well last week. We hope to see the two news boys down at the club with a stick in their hands in the coming years.

19.01.2022 ITS OURS! A momentous day today! Practical completion has been achieved for the new clubrooms!! There are still a few minor things to be finished, but Graeme Coleman, as Facilities Manager, accepted the keys from Tony Connors on behalf of Buildwell Group. We now have access to the new undercover area and spectator terraces, and we expect to start using the new function room next weekend. A fantastic effort by everyone involved in the project, led by Dave Porter and Matt Read.

The J11/12 A Girls are leading Wolves 3-0, having just scored two goals in two minutes themselves right after the three-quarter time break.

13.01.2022 WHAT A NIGHT! Last Friday, we celebrated the end of a very unique 2020 season by holding our annual Seniors and Masters Wind-up at our clubrooms - our first major function in our new home. A huge thank you to organizers Jan Davis, Catherine Timmel, Kyle McNess, Marie Farrow and Susan Wilson, who put in many hours of work to bring us such a wonderful event. Well done to all those who dressed up to match the theme - it was a fun night. A special mention for outgoing Presiden...t Gary Bowater, who is stepping down after eight years at the helm. Thank you, Gary, for all the hard work you have done. During Gary’s term as President, we have had great success on the field (we now have a successful Women’s Premier 1 team, who were one win away from their first Grand Final this year, a strong Premier 1 Men’s team who have gone from continually fighting to avoid relegation to playing in our first-ever Grand Final in 2016 and finishing Minor Premiers for the first time in 2019, our Junior program continues to provide a strong base for the club) and off the field (we are in a good financial position and are proudly enjoying our first-class new building, one of the best venues for watching hockey in Perth). As proud as I am of the new facilities I am even more pleased with the number of families that have contributed financially and other wise to build the best place to play and watch hockey in WA.... 10.01.2022 Hockey WA Senior Indoor Club Champs UPDATE: Congratulations to our Melville Women who after a very consistent and exciting weekend, won the Grand Final against WASPS 4-1. A fantastic effort by our girls. Our Melville 1 Men's team lost their Grand Final in a very tight contest 4-5 to Fremantle. With no goalkeepers on either side, it was 6 v 6 on court making a very fast attacking game. ... Unfortunately our Melville 2 Men's team had a different day due to unforeseen circumstances and played short. Have to say we were very impressed with their efforts, especially with a 4-2 win against Guildford.

04.01.2022 FIXTURES/LADDERS - MCHC App Looking for a quick way to check your fixtures and ladder position? Download TeamApp (App Store or Google play), then join MCHC for easy access to everything hockey. As well as fixtures/results, there are links to our website and social media accounts, the Hockey WA webiste plus club news and more. A couple of IMPORTANT tips:... 1. The app doen't seem to like the new RevSport website. You need to click on your team name, which usually brings you to a blank white screen, click the back arrow, then click your team name again. This should bring up the correct page. A little annoying but it's quick once you know what to do! 2. The app only shows Melville teams, but it is a LONG list. You can favourite the teams you check often by swiping the team name to the left in the Fixtures or Ladders section and clicking the star . This makes them appear at the top of the list every time. Please let us know if you find any broken links/pages that do not work or go to the wrong site.

03.01.2022 You can never say "we got this one" in any league. 4-0 up going into the last 7 minutes and this game was far from over. A fast and skilled Vic Park finished strongly and scored 2 late goals from penalty corners. The Melville boys held on for a 4-2 win.
