Orders close on Friday this week - 6 November 2020 - and I can process up to three steers. Pick up will be around the weekend of 21-22 November 2020.... 22.01.2022 Beef Sales Orders - Open Thanks everyone - 3 steers are now in the system with about 1 and a half steers available for farm shop orders. Please find below an order form. Please return by Friday 26 June 2020 if possible and then I can confirm any further availability. For your diary - collections will be in the region of 3-5 July 2020. 17.01.2022 THANK YOU! Just a quick note to thank all of my great customers for choosing to purchase Jersey Beef last week - it was great to catch up with you. I know the last few months have been really challenging for everyone - so my thanks for your continued support. This time round you may find some of the steak has been cut a little thinner - my apologies we might have pulled this back a little too far, but I hope the taste still shines through. Please don't hesitate to let me kn...ow your feedback/any problems. Also moving forward I'm going to adjust our cut sheet a little to remove our 1/2 side product and move forward with a 15 kg mixed box, to make it a little easier for everyone and to increase consistency. 17.01.2022 Hi everyone - hoping that you are all travelling well. I am looking to do our next batch of grass fed Jersey beef in the next few weeks. It would be super to get a feel for interest over the next few days. If you would be placing an order, please comment below or drop me a quick message, and then I will put together firm dates for our next farm shop. 16.01.2022 Farm Shop - Quick Update Just a quick update everyone - orders are being packed today, so will be able to post up anything in the farm shop as well later tonight. Rump has been running hot - so apologises, I will try my best to share this across all orders that were in by the closing date. The rump is quite big, so hopefully this will work for everyone. ... Farm Shop will be open: Saturday 21 November: 9 am - 1 pm AND 4 pm until sundown Sunday 22 November: 9 am - 11.30 am I hope one of these times will work for everyone. If not - please do message me today so that we can work out an alternative time for you. Perhaps pop a quick msg below to indicate what time will work for you. 14.01.2022 Beef Sales: Order Sheet Now Available Thanks for your interest below everyone - most appreciated. I will be sending in two steers this Wednesday and aiming for collections from the farm during 30-31 August 2020 (to be confirmed). Please see below the order sheet. If you have any problems, please drop me an email to [email protected] and I can send you a PDF version OR just email or message your order. Just a few updates to smooth our beef orders:... 1. A new item - Easy Dinner Box - 7.5 kg selection to make dinners really easy. $105 per box. 2. A refined item: Freezer Mixed Box - 25 kg selection with 5 kg of mixed steak. $425 per box (payment via EFT/invoice). This is now our largest order box. All other items on the cut sheet remain the same. The refinement of our boxes is based on the sales of the last few years, and we hope that this makes it easier all round for everyone. If you could pop orders through by Friday 21 August 2020 - that would be great. If you had already messaged me with an order - I will confirm this with you later today. 14.01.2022 Farm Shop Open Today: 9 am - 1 pm (1-4 pm closed) & 4 pm re-open until sundown. Lovely to see a number of returning customers today at the farm - shop will be open until 1 pm, and then again from 4pm until sundown! I still have a few items available in the farm shop fridges including:... - Rolled brisket roasts (3) - Silverside fresh roasts (7) - Point end brisket (2) - Osso Bucco (6) - Diced Beef (8) Plus a selection of BBQ snags, chipolatos, burgers and rissoles. Pls drop a note below or a msg if there's anything you'd like me to pop aside for you. Gilly :) ps. Slowly does it on the driveway on the way in - there are few post winter pot holes - and look out for the Jersey girls & and their Jersey/Wagyu calves to greet you at the fence. :)

12.01.2022 Farm Shop Update: 29 August 2020 (Updated 1.50 pm) What a beautiful day! Just a quick reminder that the Farm Shop is open from 3.30 - 6.00 pm today for order collections. I also have a selection of items still in the fridge - these include:... - Blade roast (2) - Osso Bucco (6) - Stir Fry (4) - Diced Beef (6) - Sausages - Hamburger Patties - Beef Kebabs Have a great day everyone and see those of you heading out to the farm later today. Eftpos is available and preferred. Just watch your speed on the driveway - courtesy of our rain this year, there are a few pot holes! Gilly :) ps. If this is your first time out to the farm - head north on the SW highway out of Brunswick. Go round the bend and as you straighten up, there is a large tree and our drive entrance on your left. Look for the Melville Park sign on the entrance. :)

This is us everyone - working together - choosing local and knowing where your beef comes from. Plus - throw in that you are supporting a non-traditional beef breed into a beautiful product, not a by product. 09.01.2022 Farm Shop Update: 5 July 2020 So lovely to catch up with Saturday customers who came to collect their beef and to have time to chat about how you are going during this year. Just a quick reminder that the shop is open from 10.30 - 5.30 pm today. In between farm jobs are happening, so if you turn up to the barn and I'm not there - I will not be far away!... Also just to confirm that I still have stock in the farm shop fridges across a number of items. If you are interested in a 5 kg Mixed Winter Bag @ $85, please let me know and I'll make these up for collection after 3.30 pm today. 07.01.2022 Next Beef Sales ... Hi everyone - hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather. We have a few steers heading off today, so I will have some beef available in about a fortnight - approx: 5 July 2020. I have some 1/2 sides and 1/4 box orders in the system, but will have at least 1 full and 3/4 of a carcass available for the farm shop. I'll pop an order form up later today.... We then have another 16 steers that will be processed over the coming six months as the grass helps them all to finish. Many thanks - Gilly :)

05.01.2022 Farm Shop Opening Times (29-30 August) Beef has now arrived out to the farm so the rest of today is packing orders. There has been strong demand on a few steak lines, so I will do my best to get everyone as much of their steak order as possible, whilst following our values of sharing across as many customers as possible. Thank you always for your understanding of this approach. :) The Farm Shop will be open:... - Saturday 29 August: 3.30 - 6.00 pm - Sunday 30 August: 10.30 am - 2.30 pm AND 4.00 - 6.00 pm I hope that one of these times will work for you. If not - please just msg me and we will find a way around it for you. Once orders are packed later today, I'll also post up what will be left in the farm shop fridges. 01.01.2022 A few quick updates ... Thanks to everyone who has popped in a beef order - I should have made contact with you all by now. Please reach out if you have not had a confirmation from me. I'll be doing the cut sheets tomorrow (Mon), so if there are any further orders - please send them through tonight. The last week has been huge as we have 17 healthy calves on the ground and then we have had a run of 4 deaths. Needless to say, bucket loads of tears have been shed and a huge l...earning curve has happened. We have 2 more to calve so fingers crossed that all goes to plan and we end up with 19 healthy calves - a small number by comparison to many larger farmers but all important to our small starting herd. The calves are making great strides in their health, but our girls are working hard to feed these calves, so my focus will be on their health in the coming month so that they can produce enough milk for their calf and us too. My learning curve has been huge, nerve wracking and steep! We've also started to bring the girls into the big dairy - it's an adventure bringing in both untrained cows and their calves (not to mention an L-plate dairy farmer!) - but we make a few strides forward each time. I have also started to train some of our very quiet cows on our mobile milker and use this milk for other calves that we have on the farm - I've included a little video for you below. Anyway - thanks again for the great support. The next steps are getting the dairy signed off and all the red tape done, along with finding our milk pasteuriser - a few months yet, and then working out how we can bring some lovely simple milk to you before the end of 2020 and then forward plan for 2021 to be in full production!
