22.01.2022 ** Primary Principals Day 2020 ** Today is the day we celebrate the Australian Primary Principals and Deputies across our nation for the incredible and valuable work they do. As we all know, 2020 has been a year like no other and we have seen the capacity and calibre of our school leadership teams as they stepped up to the challenges of leadership through covid-19.... Not only have they gone above and beyond to overcome barriers and creating flexible learning options for students, they have done all of this while keeping the safety and happiness of students and their families in the forefront of every one of their decisions. 11.01.2022 In case you missed this afternoon's Connect message from Betty, please see below. Dear Parents and Care Givers,... Without being too alarmist I would like to make you aware of this news which was brought to my attention this afternoon. There is a graphic live suicide stream on Tik Tok today. The video shows a man who appears to commit suicide with a shotgun. The video in question has also appeared on other platforms, including Twitter and Facebook. The clip is extremely graphic and has yet to be moderated. Should this image appear in any of your feeds SCROLL past. Please advise all your children to do the same. We strongly recommend keeping your children offline today if possible, and supervise all social media interactions until this content is removed. Check with your children to determine if they have viewed this clip. They could possibly be extremely distressed if they have. It has also been reported that trolls are using videos of puppies and kittens to lure children into seeing the video. It is also being inserted into videos of kittens on Tik Tok. Please use it as a talking opportunity at home if your child has social media. For further information regarding online safety is available on the eSafety Commissioner website. https://www.esafety.gov.au/ Kind regards Betty

10.01.2022 In case you missed Betty's Connect notice on Saturday please see below in relation to the kiss 'n drop changes. With phase 4 now in action we will continue with the parking and kiss 'n drop arrangements next week with a couple of minor changes. If it is easier for you to meet your children on campus please do so. There is no longer any need to wait on the oval or Curtis Rd.... We will continue to operate a kiss 'n drop on McKnight Place car park in the mornings only. Please don't park. In the afternoon the kindy children need to be picked up at 3pm from the gate or classroom door. From 3:10 onwards the McKnight Place car park is available for parking for anyone else . There have been a number of bays left empty last week. The Curtis Rd Kiss 'n Drop will continue to operate morning and afternoon. We had all children picked up in 15 minutes on Thursday and Friday because drivers were considerate and turning left in and out! Well done everyone! Please note the weather forecast for most of the week is for rain which will slow things down.
