25.01.2022 The notorious Main North Road and Nottage Terrace intersection is getting an upgrade! I've advocated for the safety of commuters at this intersection for years and as part of our record $12.9 billion infrastructure spend we’re fixing it including adding an extra right hand turn lane into Nottage Terrace. This is part of our commitment to bust congestion around Adelaide by #BuildingWhatMatters and upgrading a number of metropolitan intersections.

23.01.2022 Welcome back Victoria!

22.01.2022 ANNOUNCED TODAY: We are further easing COVID-19 restrictions in SA. These important changes will provide a welcome boost to the hospitality and events sector who have been doing it tough. It will also mean people have more freedom to celebrate special occasions the way they want to.... From 12.01am, 3 October, standing hospitality will be able to resume outdoors at licensed venues. Furthermore, private functions at licensed venues with a maximum of 150 guests, like weddings, will be able to have standing consumption and dancing. This can be indoors or outdoors. However, there is a strict condition that contact tracing records are kept of all guests and other specific requirements like having a COVID Marshal present are met. We really thank South Australians for their cooperation as we continue to ease restrictions.

21.01.2022 Today’s coffee catch up with Jim from NEST Bistro in Walkerville. Jim informed me how he’s adapting his small business during COVID times. I really urge everyone to #supportlocal where you can.

21.01.2022 Vale Rena Pascoe, who died on September 20, aged 99. Rena, a WW11 RAAF veteran, was one of the first women to enlist in the Australian Air Force - a huge achievement. A local stalwart, Rena was an active, long-serving committee member of the Walkerville RSL As her friend and local member, Rena and I formed a close bond, regularly catching up at community events and for coffee at NEST Bistro in Walkerville. ... I'll miss her dearly. RIP Rena.

20.01.2022 Skaters will soon be able to unleash their inner Tony Hawk at the new Adelaide City Skate Park. After extensive consultation, the first-look concept designs of the new skate park have been released. Skaters in the city have been left without a skate park since 2013 after the former government tore down the old one with no plans for a replacement.... We're now delivering $3 million to this modern facility in partnership with the City of Adelaide. It is anticipated that works will commence on site by the end of 2020 and be completed mid-2021.

20.01.2022 JUST IN! More progress on the Festival Plaza Redevelopment in the heart of the CBD.

And remember to bring plenty of water, snacks and sun protection if you’re attending a walk-in facility. ALL testing locations around the state can be found here: www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidtesting

18.01.2022 Meet Themis Chryssidis from Sprout Cooking School & Health Studio. He’s a proud South Australian business owner and has been able to stay afloat after receiving our $10k small business cash grants. He used the grants to sustain his business operations and look at ways to grow.... In fact, Themis feels so positive about SA’s future that he’s opening a new restaurant and bar in the heart of the city. We're helping as many small businesses as we can, and have EXTENDED the deadline for applications for our second round of cash grants by more than 10 weeks to midnight 28 February, 2021.

17.01.2022 We're making Memorial Drive BIGGER, BETTER and more VERSATILE so that we can attract even more events to Adelaide. We'll be able to host concerts and new forms of entertainment such as e-sports competitions.
