11.01.2022 The state of play has changed again for live music venues but there’s still going to be a wait before fully-fledged gigs can occur again. Victoria’s entertainment venues and cultural establishments will now be able to host more patrons as Premier Daniel Andrews just announced a further easing of restrictions. From now and as part of the Last Step in Victoria’s roadmap towards a ‘COVID normal’, indoor entertainment venues, such as cinemas, smaller bandrooms and galleries, will be allowed a maximum of 150 punters per space, subject to the density quotient of one person per four square metres. For an indoor space that also has an outdoor area, a one person per two square metre restriction must be adhered to for that outdoor space.

01.01.2022 NSW duo The Sideshow Brides began singing together from a young age. From early influences of country and 70's rock, they then ventured into more lyrical song writing, becoming heavily influenced by the music of Patty Griffin and Neko Case. They began finessing their own song writing together and crafted a blend of country, roots based music and packed their bags (literally two bags) and guitar and moved to Melbourne in 2008. They found themselves immersed in the country scen...e and quickly began singing around popular Melbourne music venues and festivals. Opening supports have included Leah Flanagan and U.S country siren Elizabeth Cook. They also featured as backing vocalists for bands such as Dallas Crane (Rod Laver Arena supporting Cold Chisel, Marngrook Footy Show, Melbourne Convention Centre supporting Lynyrd Skynyrd) and performed as a trio with Tim Rogers at the Memo Theatre in St Kilda.
