01.01.2022 Grieving during the holiday season can be tough. Here are some ideas that might help. 1. Go easy on yourself. Don't put high expectations on yourself. 2. Spend time with people you love, people who help you feel happy and supported without judgement. 3. Engage in an activity that helps you feel happy such as exercise, journaling, photography (one of my favourites), whatever helps you escape.... 4. Be honest about how you feel, find ways to express your true feelings (positive or negative). 5. Remember your loved ones and continue to speak of them. This may help you feel closer to them. 6. Live in a way your loved one would want. 7. Support someone else. This can be difficult, but your loss may have given you strength, wisdom, insight, which can be a gift to someone else suffering. 8. Plan opportunities for remembrance, such as a memorial service or party, start a scholorships fund, create a memorial scrap book, etc. 9. Seek professional help 10.
