13.01.2022 LONG POST WARNING Hi guys, I just wanted to share something with you as today has marked a milestone for me. When I was 13 I begged mum and dad for a camera and I got one for Christmas (yes it was a film camera cause thats how old I am ) since that day its been my dream to become a portrait photographer. I took the plunge in 2016 and completed my diploma in photo imaging however have been to nervous to leap into it completely, well the last 12 months my family has los...t my great grandmother an amazing uncle and my big brother, while my dad is still courageously battling cancer (love you lots dad) and it has taught me that life is way too unpredictable/ short to not take that leap. So...On my 38th birthday (end of July)I decided I was going to enter my first ever portrait photography competition (1st of Aug) and if nothing came of it then at least I could get feedback and be able to say I tried..... I entered 3 images to be judged by 16 world renowned portrait photographers including my idol and mentor Sue Bryce. When I opened my results (1month+ 4 days later) I was so nervous I was shaking. Well.....2 of my images were 1 point off an award and my third image got BRONZE!!!! Let me tell you I have never had instant tears of joy (or relief) like this before. Im so so excited and grateful to everyone that has helped me and supported me to this point. The kicker is it was the image of my gorgeous daughter that was awarded. See more

12.01.2022 As I am approaching "40" fast I have realised what is important to me, and that is my Family. I may not have the "ideal" body but my body has given me two gorgeous children and carried me through some very hard times and day by day I am learning to love it. I am a Mother a Grandmother a Daughter an Aunt and a Sister and I am very proud of the women I am! #existinphotosnow
